EC - Post Dating Entry date

I wish to apply for EC and post date the entry by three months.

In that case how can I give the accommodation details while applying for EC. During these three months I will apply and find a good job, and I want to find my accommodation based on the job location.

Can anyone advise how to handle this?

Also, Is post-dating request usually accepted?

Yes I have heard that post dated ec applications are approved .. provided you write very clearly in you application ccover letter!

Can anyone who has requested the post dating of entry date (by 2/3 months) while submitting EC application share their experience?

My EC is post dated to 22-Feb-06. I applied for my EC last 10-Nov in Manila.

Ensure that you specifically state when do you expect to land in the UK. To further strengthen the post date application, I've also attached a letter requesting for the later entry clearance data.

Ashwin, work on the assumption that you have not got a job when you get to the UK. Where will you be living? Enter those details!

You cannot dodge the accommation issue. The accommodation details you enter ... the accommodation must be "suitable" and certainly not overcrowded.

Can I provide a hotel address? Should I book the hotel, and attach the proof with the EC application?

Ashwin, a search of this Board will show that a number of people do exactly that ... book an hotel or hostel. You might like to use the search facility here but I think a booking of at least seven days seems to be required.
