How long to get BC?!

Post by spike_UK » Mon Mar 03, 2014 10:34 pm

I'm about to apply for BC soon, just wondering how long should I expect to wait before to make phone calls and chase home office!!

I have hold PR for 12 months if that make any difference in the process ( slower or faster ). Thanks guys.
Applied for EEA4 on 24/02/2012.
HO received on 27/02/2012.
Refusal received on 16/08/2012 dated 11/08/2012
At the court, the HO REP withdrawn the decision and asked me to send the DOC for the time before marriage.
PR dated 05/03/2013

it can take between 4 weeks and 6 months. the average time generally is about 6/7 weeks till you get the letter of approval and then it depends on availability of the council on how soon you can attend a ceremony to receive your certificate.

no point chasing home office, they wont tell you status of application if it is before 6 months after application.

Clear point mate, just to confirm, I have PR doesn't make no difference does it?
I will give it 6 months then. Thank you.

everyone needs PR or ILR to apply for citizenship so it makes no difference.
