Hi - I have been reading this forum for a few weeks and thought I would add my timeline.

Eligibility criteria: ILR + 5yr
Language criteria met: Life in the UK test and ESOL B1 English exam
Method of application: NCS-Bromley
Payment method: Credit card
Date of application: 10/01/2014
Date of receipt by UKBA: 13/01/2014
Date fees taken: 29/01/2014
Date of receipt of acknowledgement: 31/01/2014
Date of receipt of approval: WAITING
Date of ceremony: WAITINIG

I've called the 0870 number a couple of times and each time received a similar response along the lines of my application still being processed and not having been assigned to a caseworker yet. It is a bit frustrating seeing people who have applied after me already in receipt of their approvals, but I guess there is nothing to do but just wait!

Best of luck to everyone. Hopefully some more approvals start rolling in!

I applied on the 6th January.

None of us no the exact system in which they order applications, some say first come first serve, I reckon it is more likely that months are split maybe weekly and spread to a specific caseworker, and it may then be organised by Surname alphabetically. My surname begins with W, so I might be waiting sometime. People stop worrying though, somebody who applied in January 2013 (over a year ago) just got approval. LOL :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I think the clock starts ticking only after the fees are debited - that's when the application enters the caseworker queue. If your payment gets rejected the application is not in the caseworker queue until they get their grubby mitts on your dosh. The date of application is immaterial.

Well my money was debited on the 25th of January, and there are people with approvals who had money taken after this date, there must be some system. I am a spouse of native BC, and everything is to the book. I do not really understand what they are doing!!!

Have they started accepting TOEFL or are you okay since you applied before the ban?

Hi Milan69!
Its quite worrying situation because what if our applications are still not been allocated to case worker yet in that case forget march for any approval....looks HO is back on slow track or dont know may be they just delay deliberately. What you say?

My test was in July 2013 - ETS was suspended 10/02/2014. I didn't think it would affect my application as I submitted it before the ban...

I took a B1 CEFR / ESOL ENTRY LEVEL 3 ENGLISH EXAM in mid 2013, and applied for citizenship 14 Jan this year. Was the exam I took also suspended?

Hi Milan69! atleast it is a good sign otherwise it remains a dilemma that have they allocated our applications yet or not. but now it is a piece of mind for you.

Hi milan69,

I have read some of the comments in the October/November/December forums, and it would appear that the HO have a list of responses. FOr instance, one person rang up one week to be told that a caseworker was looking at it, then rang a couple of weeks later to be told that it had not been allocated to a caseworker.

Another post stated that they had rang up one day to be told the application had not been allocated yet, but the next day they received the approval through the post, with the approval dated a week before they had rang the HO.

Unfortunately it is very clear to me that the people who take phone calls from applicants do not actually have the database in front of them. So ringing up is not going to clear anything up. I think if you went through NCS then there is not much to worry about, because you will have your native passport, if there is an emergency to leave the country, you can do. Other than that, you will have to wait 6 months before you could do anything.

Don't forget that although the UKBA is pretty much deciding your life, you are just a statistic to them, and you will have ILR, so you can not be chucked out the country. It is a waiting game.

WHen the time comes, I have also read tht the Post Office check and send service is not worth it, the post office will keep loads of passports applications and then send them in bulk, so it could take three weeks from application to Belfast receiving the application.

Date of acknowledgement :
Date of debit of fees: 11/01/2014
Date of approval: letter dated 2/3/14 received date 6/3/14
Date of Ceremony: 8/3/14

Special thanks to Immigration board and everyone who support each other

My letter stating 2 march which is Sunday , so they are working hard to sort out the applications. you letter will be with you very soon :)

I called them in Monday 3/3/14 and 5/3/14 both time they said in process. But the letter was already printed for dispatch :)

So no point to call them it's just painfull

----------

Just another post which shows, it's just not worth calling the HO as do not have any idea about your application.
