Indian passport surrender - British passport in new name

Hi Forum,

I am surrendering my wife's Indian passport by post, her British passport is in her married name, and the naturalisation certificate is in her maiden name.

Would this be a problem? I am planning to send a self-attested copy of the marriage certificate with the application. Would this be enough, or should I send a deed poll with it too? Also if that the case would this deed poll need to be witnessed by a solicitor as for a PIO/OCI application, or a regular witness will do.

Anyone who has been in the same situation, please share your experience.

Also in the form in the name section and for self attestation should she use her old name or new name?
