Anyways, congrats to those Feb applicants who got approvals..

P.S: Just noticed quite a few Jan applicants in Jan thread are still waiting for approval so I am not alone.. :)

My approval letter is dated Sunday, 16/03/2014

Looks like they are working very hard.

Thanks everyone for the support and what a wonderful forum :)

I have one question here, I have't received my Life in UK Test notification back from HO. Is this normal and do they keep this with them?

I would have hoped that I would have received the acknowledement letter by now. Am I right in thinking this letter tells me my wifes reference number? Is this different than the letter telling me that payment has been taken?

Thanks

You are right, on letter of acknowledgment you get your reference number. As the fees have been taken a week ago you might receive the letter in a day or two.

I applied on 15 February and the payment was taken on 22nd February. I have not received anything until the moment, no receipt and no letter, a bit worried now but there isn't much I can do.

hmm you should have received an ack letter by now as Home office did sent letters out quite quickly for late Jan and Feb applicants.
Having said that, it's entirely possible that you may not receive an ack letter at all (happened with so many people) and just get that brown envelope of approval :)

I emailed NCS Wandsworth earlier on today and they've been brilliant with their replies. They contacted HO and found out my reference number, and I got confirmation of the money debited from my account. I was also told that HO is trying to find a case worker for my case. I also emailed the home office to ask for a letter to be sent home. Hopefully I'll get a reply in the next few days.

Agreed, NCS Wandsworth are great. Replied to my email asking if it has been assigned to a caseworker yet within 1 hour. Unfortunately it hasn't but I assume once a caseworker has it it could be a couple of days away from being approved correct? Or could it sit on a pile on their desks for a few more weeks?

Hi All,

Hope you all are enjoying the weekend.

Once again I've done a bit of analysis. I have put the all the applications for Feb 2014 in a single screenshot for a quick glance with the most important fields, sorted as per the date of application.

Just to be optimistic, I have started with the approvals

Good Luck!

Dude, as I mentioned earlier in my notes above, I meant no offense to any one, but just to clarify you, I never meant 10 years application would not qualify for straight forward application, all I meant was, if I ask you to make enquirers or whatsoever you have to do for 10 years comparatively with 5 years, what you think which would take longer, even though both are good citizen and have almost same type of applicant except the time period and obviously we are here to help each other...therefore, removing my above comments...

Judging the progress in January forum, average approval wait time is between 45-60 days from day of application. Also it seems that last week January applications are still being processed therefore hold on for little while, it is nothing compared to years we have waited... importent thing is that at the end everyone see their brown envelop with approvals...

So much heartburn and jealousy on show here! Who are we to decide how HO should process our applications? If they start prioritising applications based on 'entitlement' some people appear to posess (real or percieved), it is only going to add unnecessary delay to the process. Let's just take it as it comes and not begrudge others who happen to get faster approvals. We are all in this together, no point pulling each other down.

Man4uni - You are doing great job. Such data from users in past months has helped me to set minimum and maximum expectations.. I believe that applicants from March are keeping eye on progress here as well.. my wife will be applying in couple of weeks so i will be around following for next coming months.. I know the pain for waiting since i waited around 4 years.. after i applied everyday felt like years and no brown envelope in mail box was heart breaking.. but my heart goes for those who have applied in November and still waiting and still holding.. I salute their strength ...
