Finally UKnotts! My wife is also one of the unfortunate ones who sent the application to Durham (one day after you submitted your application). Did the interview letter arrive separately from your special delivery envelope with supporting documents, or was it included?

Hi Bdb303, the interview letter arrived separately with First Class Mail and it is dated on 21st Mar. Around 10am the postman came with Special Delivery with all support documents. I suppose they sent them separately as at least the SD should be sent out yesterday to arrive today. Do not worry, based on my case your letter will arrive very soon in next days.

Great thanks for the information, I'm feeling a little bit more positive now (we have travel plans for the 17th of April)!

Interview was today. Nothing unexpected and they were very friendly. I didn't enjoy the process and was nervous but if you like talking about yourself it may be more enjoyable :) The only question that I didn't prepare for was a question about what comes off my bank account every month but could still answer it to some extend.

Passport for: Adult
Application Type: New
Method of application: Postal (self posted to Liverpool HMPO)
Date of application: 04/03/2014
Date application received by IPS: 05/03/2014
Date of SMS received: 07/03/2014
Date of return of documents: 24/03/2014
Date of receipt of interview letter: 18/03/2014 (Dated: 15/03/2014)
Date of Passport Appointment: 22/03/2014
Date of Passport Receipt: 25/03/2014

***I've made some mistakes on my form which I've crossed out (I've signed the children application signature box by mistake)
***I was told by check&send my form will be rejected (I took the risk and sent the form in myself without the help of check&send)

**My original interview was on 02/04/2014 at the Liverpool office.
**I've managed to get an appointment at the Blackburn office on 22/03/2014.
**Interview was good and straightforward (like chatting to a mate) and lasted approximately 10 minutes.
**The usual questions were asked but I got asked these extra questions:
-Father and Mother in-laws occupation.
-Father and Mother in-laws age.

Finally...this concludes one of my journeys and a new chapter of life is beginning.

Thank you so much for everyone's help and support throughout the process.
Be positive and you'll get there :)

was at the interview yesterday, got so annoyed guy was not professional was asked VERY private questions, which I shouldn't been ask about. It stressed me out so I told him wrong name of the agency who rents a room and wrong number of people in the house, why they want people to know details of people who live in the house, none of the house mates brings you full list of their details

will I have any trouble for wrong name of renting agency and number of people. I am not able to track who lives in and who not in the big house.

I was asked to sign twice dont know why, u can make the second identical signature. It's impossible. They are not that professional at list a person who interviewed me.

I'm sure you will be okay, just trying to establish you are who should be given the passport. Identity confirmation it is called. I won't worry too much about it to be honest. Remember you are a BC and you're entitled to have a travel passport.

Compared to the rate of approvals, passport timelines show little activity.

Is it because people don't bother to post after getting approvals or don't apply for one?

Spots on! A lot of folks don't bother to apply for a travel passport straight after becoming a BC if there is no urgent need for it.

Hi everyone,
I have not post anything since receiving my interview letter, I went to the interveiw on sat and yesterday I received my passport so thank to everyone for their contribution it really was helpful throughout the whole process from the start of my journey.

* check and send it absolutely fine application indeed got there next day the only thing I never got a SMS so hence I was worried

* At the interveiw for sure it only question u only can know and plus you don't have to answer all of them correctly because we r all human u forget stuff as I did just make sure u know the essential.
