Eligibility Criteria : 5 Yrs on Work Permit + 1 Year ILR
Method of Application : Through CRAWLEY (West Sussex) NCS
Date of Application : 27 - Jan - 2014
Date of Debit of Fees : 4 - Feb - 2014
Date of Receipt of Acknowledgement : I have not received the acknowledgement
Date of Receipt of Approval : 26 - March - 2014 (letter issued on 14 - Mar -14)
Date of Ceremony : Requested for an appointment, presumably on 16 - April - 14

Good Luck to everyone...
Two points to share with all -
1. I have not received the acknowledgement.
2. I have enquired through email on 19th March (please note that the approval letter was issued on 14th March) and got a reply (on the same day) stating that "No decision has been take yet"

Once again thanks to website guys and all the subscribers, who shared the valuable inputs (like contact numbers, email address for enquiring the status if application)

Did you see the email state they have achieved Top Service Quality Standard? It's possibly the worst customer service I have ever come across! Someone needs to complain and get their status stripped off.

I called today to check the guy on the phone said the last update they have was on 26/02/2014 but would not tell me anything else except that he does not think it will take much longer!!!

Incalled again today and the lady on the line said that my wife's application has not yet been alocated toma case worker. I dont know what to say. I am tempted tomcontact my MP but i ak still within 6 month standard service.
Since my last call i tried to speak to them several time and i gt a message our officers are busy please call later. I contacted my MP to see what he can do and still waiting.
Same here. I applied towards the end of November and still waiting for approval! When rung them I was told my case was last handled on 19/03/2014 but she didn't give me any further details. So I asked whether a decision has been made or not, but she said she couldn't tell me that! My application is simple and straightforward. I have no criminal record or any other conviction. I am totally disgusted by the quality of service received after paying so much money! It's not worth it…..

People with immigration fraud and criminal conviction got their application approved way before mine while honest people are left to suffer! I will lodge a formal complain!

Kassem can you please keep us updated about your case.
I managed to speak to them tody and still it has not beem alocated to a case worker. this is rubish .

Hi Masjam
I think there are still plenty of Oct, Nov Applicant who havent received their approval. I'm one of them......
can anyone explain what does "No Casworker has been affected to your case"
what does the normal people understand from this ? does it mean they havent started at all with your application, or does it mean they are waiting for more information to be gathered prior the casework can make a decision ? I'm realluu puzzled with this !!!!

October and November Applicants!

I guess all the October and November applicants should come forward and do a hunger strike till their application is decided or everybody should withdraw their applications. That will be a good lesson for the UKBA.

Still waiting

Anybody waiting that long?
Are you Fackiiiiiing serious. What's taking them so long. Have you phoned and emailed them?
I contacted them so many times personally and through MP as well. Everytime I get a usual answer that application is still under process and there is no maximum time limit to make the decision.

I've just received an email (reply for 23rd Feb mail query after 5 days) as below

Dear Mr Ahmed,

Your application has been approved, you will hear from the team in due course.

Admin Officer 07, North West Responder Hub
Customer Service Improvement Directorate
Home Office, UK Visas and Immigration

I'm being little excited but more skeptical because I was under the impression they only tell weather decision has been made or not and never reveal it before hand, Should I count it as approved?

My time line is as following:

Eligibility criteria: HSMP + Tier 1 + 1yr ILR
Method of application: NCS Ealing
Date of application: 08/02/2014
Date of debit or clearance of fees: 13/02/14
Date approval received: ??

What should I do now? I'm still uncertain is it 100% approval? Should I go-ahead and speak with my Ealing council for ceremony or simply wait for the letter??

(Email addresses I used together: nationalityhelpdesk@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk & furthernationalityenquiries@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk)

Did you take the tests at all? Do you have the certs?

If you have not, you still have time. Go online, search Life in the UK, register, and order the book. This takes a few days to prepare.

For the spoke one, you need to book ASAP, but no need to prepare - you either speak/understand, or you don't.

I think if they have told you that it is approved, it means that it is approved but I will still wait for the letter to arrive before contacting the council regarding a ceremony.

Mine is complicated since I don't have any ID, been here for a long time. I need ID to sit for life in the UK test.
