Code of practice salary confusion

Post by safatafa » Thu Mar 27, 2014 3:42 pm

Hi all
Need some advice which is very crucial for me .
I am on tier 2 and my soc code is 2119 previously 2329 which comes under phd level.
I applied for tier 2 in July 2010 now with the new soc code 2119 I have to show 26000 which was 15 k previously
Today I checked the code of practice and it has a * on the new entrant
* (or £20,000 for applicants who entered Tier 2 under the Rules in place before 6 April 2011 and are not subject to the experienced worker rate)
Does this imply I don't ve to meet the experienced worker rate?
Any views and suggestions welcome
It ll help me resolve my grief :)

If you've been employed since 2010 then I'm tempted to think in 2014 you will be considered experienced. Better to speak to your sponsor to pay 26k for ilr purposes.
Always safer to be paid above than below.

For ILR you are subjected to experienced worker rate.
