I need urgent help Please.

I got ILR on the basis of 10 years last december, my previous visa was student.
I already applied for my child naturalization.
Im going to apply for my wife visa on flr(m). Im on pre july 2012 rules. her visa is going to expire 11th april.
My job contract is going to change in 2 weeks time & my salary will be 18500.

My question is for Maintenance.

My current monthly salary is 700 pounds after tax.
My bank statement ending balance is 4000 pounds.

is she going to get visa?
is there any advise?

I think based on the fact that you got the visa pre july 2012 therefore your situation should not change when you re apply. You will need to call them or seek a solicitor on this matter. If new rules apply to you then you would be rejected as it is below 18600! if you have a joint income of over 18600 then you would be ok.

Thank you for your support and insightful information. I called the number mentioned just a while ago and was advised that they deal with English Language Requirement issues only. I was suggested to contact the regular UKVI 0870.. number. So I presume these guys were able to help your friend's case as there was issue with English Language Requirement.

Nevertheless, thank you for the suggestion and support.

Further to my previous post .. I just called UKVI today to find out about my wife's application progress. I have been told they still haven't issued the biometric letter yet and not sure when they would do so. I have been given a fax no to contact 'casewroking' team which I would do tomorrow. It has been more than 6 weeks and not even an invitation to enroll biometric!!! Please let me know if any of you have any suggestion to expedite.

Further to my post earlier... if you dont show you earn 18600 or over then most likely your application would be placed in hold until they find out in may exactly whats happening with the financial requirements!! they are thinking to change it but await confirmation in may... it would be minimum wage rather than 18600... so u can apply in any case and wait... your partner's status would be the same as it is now until decision is decided.

What do you mean by proof of address?? Do you mean co-habitation? Is it required for FLR(M)? I thought it was only needed for SET(M) application.....!!!

Also, did you submit recognised English translation of Marriage Certificate if it was not in English?

Wife's Application sent: 17 Feb 2014
Biometric Details Enrolled: 09 Apr 2014
Approval letter along with BRP Received: 22 Apr 2014

P.S. My wife's biometric letter was delayed and it did not come through until 6 weeks. So I wrote to UKVI for an update and immediately they issued biometric letter and asked for my original passport. I sent my passport along with a letter querying why my passport was required outlining the immigration rules re. photocopies required for this type of application and the case worker returned my passport along with an explanation the very next day explaining the photocopy we provided was not clear. All in all it was a good experience.

Many thanks all members for your support.

My Set M timeline

Applied through Settlement checking Service
Application submitted March 13th, 2014
Biometrics letter received March 27th, 2014
Biometrics submitted March 27th, 2014 through Post office

Not heard anything since.

I am working part time and was looking for full time work.
I passed psychometric test for one big firm and was invited for assessment day. I told them my visa status and my application is on hold since.
And tomorrow I have got an assessment day for another big company and I told them my visa status too but they say its okay you just come and we can discuss it in detail.

What should I tell them, how long its gonna be? I really want to secure that job but not sure how to tell them that my application was fairly straightforward and things are going to be okay.
Confused!!

Any advice really appreciated

It really depends. sometimes 1 week after biometrics and sometimes 8 weeks or more. If you see what others have put you can see whats going on. I would say 2 months max after the biometrics submitted.

Tell them the truth. say that you can work legally in the UK which you are cause your circumstances dont change and they stay as they are from your last visa status. I did the same thing... my application was sent and i was able to land a job in a big firm.... say within the next 4 weeks... once you get the job and four weeks go by then just prolong it week after week... I wouldnt worry tbh

Just be positive about the application and let the employer know that you are going to get it very soon. I have been in this situation before and couldn't help it at all. I tried to call homeoffice few time to get some update but every time have been told the application is under consideration.

Hope you get the result you want real soon!

Thanks

Thank you for your advice @QMUL87 and Apolo654.
Interview went really smooth but that doesn't mean I secured the job. However they were really cool about my visa status. They slightly mentioned it once and said they are happy to wait. wohoo.. Fingers crossed for both now.
