Not now called passport helpline they said they can't find any progress they send email to Durham office .i called DX as well they don't have any delivery for me

Update: called on 3 April to enquire, as am planning local travel and wanted to plan around my interview dates. I was told that they can only tell that it is with the examiners in Liverpool office, and not sure how long it would take. I need my original passport back before 1 May.

Has anyone else applied for first passport whilst abroad? How long did it take you to get the first interview and subsequently to get the passport if you pass the interview?

You can get your documents back next day by calling 08456015549. They will give you a fax number.

it depends on ur luck coz some gets text and some not so do not b worry about this.

For check and send I have read mixed reviews where some did not receive a text at all and some after a week or so.
I made a self application through special delivery and I received text in 2 days while my balance dropped in 4 days.
It also depends which HMPO office has received your application. I sent mine to Peterborough.
