Canadian Living in England - Passport

Hi

I have completed my application for my passport and this was received at the high commission on the 17 April 2014.
Today the 7 May I just had confirmation for payment for my passport has been made and taken.
At what stage does this occur, i.e. when my application is accepted or when my passport has been processed and my actual passport is being sent to me. I look forward to everyones comments
