This is for Sogy, HO will not just refuse your application if you don't get back to them in 3 weeks, they will then call you. My point is, they haven't sent no letters to you and lost in the post, RELAX.
I just rung HO and the polite Pakistani brother said, the decision was made on the 27 Tuesday and letter sent out to me with all my docs in the special envelop I included. He said if we had requested or needed further info we would have written to you again but we came to conclusion (decision) I did ask for the result but his privilege was limited.
Can't wait for tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you, Spike! I hope they will call me if their (apparently, second-class) is lost. Otherwise, I have no worries.

By the way, call HO again for updates, then after he/she gives you no hope,,, this is what I do ( CAN YOU PLEASE GIVE ME THE PROPER UPDATE RATHER THAN JUST TELLING ME SAME THING EVERY TIME ) then they will concern your request. Good luck mate

Got the invitation date. It was interesting because I called the council to see about a private ceremony and they were incredibly accommodating saying that they could do a private one anytime, tomorrow, on Saturday, whenever. But I was thinking about a private ceremony on the assumption that our public ceremony would possibly be months away. That date we've actually got is fairly convenient, and though I could do without all of the pomp and circumstance (the mayor is there and some chief registrar official and there's photos), paying £150 for just a couple of extra weeks of citizenship is not really necessary. Still, if we do decide to go private, then that date will be June 5th instead.

Hi Guys,
Just an update.
Called HO yesterday and was told that it is still under consideration. I just called them again today and lady said a decision pack was sent on 28th May by second class.
So obiuosly information which was provided yesterday was not right. Hope inshAllah it's a good decision.

Hi Sogy,
Well only HO knows the meanings of different terminologies.
It's first time ever they changed my update from still waiting for allocation to consideration yesterday.
But still it was not right as according to lady today, a decision pack was sent on 28th May.
I am just hoping to get a positive answer now.

Date of acknowledgment: 04thh April 2014 (received a letter on 7th April 2014)
Date of debit or clearance of fees: 04thh April 2014
Date approval received: approval received on 29/05/2014 dated 2205/2014 on the letter.
Date of ceremony:called council and they confirm they received the request and a letter send out for the ceremony for 17th June.

Ok, June 5th was out. We have scheduled a private ceremony for June 11th instead. I'm not sure if this is my last update? Or do we update this thread when the ceremony is done? Anyway looking forward to this being behind us.

I called them again yesterday afternoon. The lady was friendlier than most, and did not talk about 6 months at all. However, she said my case was not allocated to a case worker yet (mmm... when people having applied > 1 month later are already getting approvals). Last 2 times it was "inder consideration". So go figure...

Hi Gaboon,
Well I don't think your self employment should be counted as it's nothing to do with this application. I hope and pray that you get your approval soon as I can feel the pain one goes through in daily basis. No one can guess about there checks and reasons.
HO are really mysterious. Application approval date Sunday 25th May. So they started working on Sundays.
Also I called my council but they have not recieved anything yet even though letter says contact them.
InshAllah everyone from Feb and March will get soon.

UPDATE

This morning I've called UKBA and they replied that decision has been made and post it to you on last Friday 23-May-2014 but still I haven't received it yet.

Anyone in the same situation please?

Called them again this morning - They said the decision has been made on 23-May-2014 and we sent you the post on 30-May-2014 (last Friday) and you should get it in next few days....I don't know which method (First or 2nd class) they have used to sent it and how long its going to take??

Hey guys, although I have received my approval last week but I have come back to see if all my dear friends have received theirs yet (I hope), whether they want to mentally hurt us or not, they will be defeated and they have to hand them over; we have come a long way to give up!!
