Applying for Naturalization from Northern Ireland

Post by yankeegirl » Fri Jun 06, 2014 4:07 pm

I'm applying from Northern Ireland based on marriage to an Irish citizen. The application is almost complete. I'm stuck on the Residency Checker. It says on the form that this must be completed online, and a print out of it must be submitted with the application. However, where it asks to list previous stamps, it is a drop down menu, and the only options are for previous Irish visas. Is it ok just to skip it, or should I add a note stating it wasn't applicable since I live in the North? I'm just curious to see what others have done.

You don't need the residence checker for applications for NI. That is only for ROI.

I asked the citizenship department about that a while ago.

Don't forget the PSNI police report. I would include it by myself (not sure if they require that you do that) as it will speed up the process.

See here for details: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/ ... ing-443873

Yeah, I've got that already. I sent off the form and the PSNI had it back to me exactly 1 week later! If only all things were processed that quickly!
