Got discounted fees for my children application. 06-05-14 nationality direct taken 32 pounds from my account. 2 children approval received letter dated 08/05/14. Children naturalization registration received on 12/05/14. My application received approval letter on today letter dated 09/06/14.

I thank everyone in this forum who helped me to go through this immigration journey. I wish applicants who are waiting for approval from HO to be successful.

Do I have to wait to receive invitation letter from the council or should I contact them , If have to contact what details should I have to provide them.
No harm in contacting the council. They will ask for the Home office reference number which you should have in the approval letter

Need of an urgent advise from you, would really appreciate your response.
I am applying for Naturalisation in two weeks time and I have few qquestions with regards to completing the form, please let me know if you have any details. Firstly, I have came in the UK initially in Sep 2004 on student visa, then i got HSMP in July 2008. Secondly I have done my Masters from London South bank University which is listed on PBS calculator but not sure if i need to deem the Enalish qualification from Naric on this basis as the form doesn't have any relevant options to select and i am confuse. Please help.

Q1: From below what option i should be chossing under section 1.22 of section KoLLUK
> I hacve a speaking and listening qualification in English at B1 CEFR or higher, or an quuivalent level of qualificationl OR
> I have obtained an academic qualification deemed by UK Naric to meet the recognised standard of a Bachelors or Masters degree in the UK and:
>> UK Naric has confirmed that the qualification was taught in English; Or
>> the qualification was taight or researched in the UK or a majority English speaking country
From the above options which one i should be chossing and do i need to deem my qualification from Naric even though its listed in the PBS calculator for teirs sections?

Q2: Date and place of first arrival in the UK section 2.1 what is the date i should be entering here Sep 004 on the basis of Student or July 2008 on the basis of HSMP?

Please do responsd as that would really help..... thanks in advance.

Regards - FK
q1 ans the qualification was taight or researched in the UK or a majority English speaking country (no need for naric)
q2 ans sep 2004

Hi Medinamoe,

Why are you quoting your own post? Is it because you aren't able to edit your original post?
I think you will have to report this to the Admin. Coz this doesn't makes sense where the thread says "Timeline Only" and you can't edit your post. With this pace we will have so much of redundant data.

On an average 1 member would be pasting his post 6 times, (Application Date/Date of Receipt/Fee debited/Acknowledgement/Receipt of approval/Ceremony date). No wonder why the timeline threads are growing faster...

I think we deserve editing rights on our own posts...Its only a thought though....Save space...

Hello all

I need some information please

we applied in Nov 2013, all we keep hearing is that they are investigating ETS and English tests

we were then asked to take another English test which we have done and sent back IELTS results

but the case worker told us they will still hold on to the application until they get the go ahead

please is anyone in the same shoes??

or is there any update to this issue????

Eligibility criteria: 5 + 1 year (I applied as an employed and self-employed person, even though I was a student for 4 years.)
Language criteria met : CAE, CPE, IELTS (9.0 overall), Oxbridge University Degree, Life in the UK test
Current nationality: New EU country
Method of application: MAGNE & Co Immigration Lawyers
Council name if NCS used: N/A
Date of application: 21/03/2014
Payment method : Credit Card
Date of receipt by UKBA: 23/03/2014
Date of acknowledgment: 25/03/2014
Date of debit or clearance of fees: 27/03/2014
Date approval received: 01/05/2014
Date of ceremony: 22/05/2014

My application has been approved very quickly (about 4 weeks).

Do your application with a lawyer, preferably with a lawyer who has a British name and went to a good uni (Ox or Cam). Home Office will take you more seriously if you do so. http://www.immigration-help.co.uk/

I submitted a very detailed application with a top immigration lawyer who really argued my case. I proved my economic activity (self-employed, sometimes employed) with different types of documents for the past 6 years (invoices I gave, invoices I received, list of transactions to my business accounts, my ads in newspapers, tax returns, tax calculations, NI contributions, letter from accountant, pay slips from work, work contracts). Same with proof of residence in Britain (bank statements for each month for the past 6 years- I have 3 bank accounts with different banks, letters from various councils which confirm that I was registered there on the electoral roll, rconfirmation letters from my university, accommodation contracts, letters from GP about appointments with my address on them etc). Prove everything for every month with at least 3-4 documents. Don't rely on just one type of proof.

I had 7 referees instead of 2. All of them highly educated, British with respectable professional jobs. Included their photos and photocopies of their passports to make my application stronger and more convincing.

I created a directory guide sheet for my documents (which stated which months are covered by what) to make it easier for the case worker to go through my application. Documents were in chronological order going backwards in time.

I have never claimed any benefits, tax credits, housing benefit, job seekers allowance etc. in the past 10 years while I was here in the UK, not even when I was eligible for them. This was emphasised throughout my application.

Congratulations to you, however before anyone gets worries, I'd like to state that my wife's application, simply had what was requested for in the application, eg. 3 months statements, UK degree, life in the uk test, 2 referees(no need for their photos etc) and address proof by way of bills . She used a normal NCS service, and her application was approved in 3 weeks. Not trying to discourage anyone who wants to do extra, but just reminding that usually what is asked is enough unless there is something not straightforward about your application.
