It's not that bad - at least I know it's in the works. Some people don't even know that.

Ok, so I've been lurking since I made my application on d 21st of March via Wandsworth NCS, everything was fine...received by H.O on the 24th of March, balance dropped 3 days after, acknowledgement received about 9 days after etc...then the waiting game began. I was forced to call H.O last week as I saw my case as pretty straight forward application; I didn't ask for an update, rather I asked to know if maybe a request for more information had been sent to me and I was yet to receive it...the advisor said he couldn't provide the information as he didn't have access to such, but that someone would call me back.
Indeed, I received the said call, and the dude sounded quite shocked shocked that I hadn't received anything in the mail. Anyway he asked me to call back in 2 weeks if nothing still, he also said it was a decision pack that was sent, not a request for information. Long story short, I didn't wait for 2 weeks cos I haven't received anything yet and I was beating myself up for not asking what day it was sent off. Lo, I got a call from H.O this morning; after the advisor I spoke with yesterday promised a call back today. To my utter dismay, my letter of approval had been dispatched on the 7th of May!!!!!!! And today is the 19th of June 2014!! I'm so pissed as I type this out now.
However, I take solace in the fact that the H.O lady said a replacement was dispatched on Monday 16th. ..still waiting....

Finally, I got my approval....somehow I couldn't find the enthusiasm I thought I would definitely have, probably due to the delay in reaching me. I can't get over the fact that the letter had been dispatched since 7th of May and somehow got lost in the mail. Of all the letters in the world.!!! One and a half months of unnecessary torture. I'm just grateful to God that it's finally here.

Oh, you scare me! Can this go back and forth?

From my experience, there customer service is two-tiered. Those, who answer the phone, have access only to a subset of the data, and not always up-to-date. You get real info from their advisers, who call you back - if you are lucky enough to be provided this service.

My own latest call was yesterday, to check if they have received what they requested - and they have, 3 days ago. Keeping my fingers crossed for a quick resolution.

A light at the end of the tunnel.

Called again today, and was told that the decision had been sent to me yesterday (on the 104th day after the UKBA received my application). Will be looking out for the postman over the next... 10 days.

Finally, can update with good news!

Eligibility criteria: EEA 6+ years Treaty Rights (worker), never applied for settlement doc
Method of application: NCS Nottingham
Date of NCS appointment: 19/03/2014
Date of receipt by UKBA : 20/03/2014 (via Royal Mail tracking)
Date of debit of fees (Debit Card) : 27/03/2014 (transaction posted)
Date of receipt of acknowledgement: 02/04/2014 (dated 26/03/2014)
Date of receipt of approval: 04/07/2014 (dated 30/06/2014)
Date of ceremony: To be booked

106 days. One delay with my application i exactly a month ago the case worker (apparently, assigned by then) requested a Northern Ireland police check form (DAT1). I do not live in NI, but lived there in the past (5 years ago).

Will now wait for the council invitation - will call them on Mon if no letter.

Best of luck to those still waiting!

Congrats sogy. Only wish the others would get approved. I completed my process about a week and half ago when I received my passport and I feel sad for those still waiting but I hope all will be good soon for them. I guess some people have different circumstances.

Again well done and good luck with everything else. :D

Thank you, Lamijm!

Actually, because my case dragged for so long, I cannot get a passport by mid-August, when I need to travel, so I have to schedule the ceremony for the emd of Aug or Sept, and travel on my existing passport. My country does not allow dual citizenship, and I will become British only at the moment of the ceremony. So I don't want to end up travelling on a passport of a country, of which I am no longer a citizen.

Otherwise, I am happy the wait is over.

Hello Everyone!

Firstly hearty congratulations to Sogy who have been waiting patiently. :D

I believe this thread has become more of the people waiting for approvals rather receiving them. Therefore I have decided to put the updated sheet with the people who are still waiting. So it means, you should be happy if you don't see your name in the list :)
