ILR success - PEO Croydon 09-June

Post by a.zaheer » Fri Jun 20, 2014 11:49 am

Hi

Applied as PEO on 09/06/2014. Here is what happened:

Appointment was at 8:00 AM in the morning.
Reached at 7:30 and was allowed to enter in the building at 7:40 AM
Passed through the security gates and was redirected to 2nd floor cafe.
At 8:00 AM all of us were called to the reception counter, queued up there I was on number 3 in the queue.
They took the passport, and application form and generated a token number
Token number was called within 2-3 mins and went to another counter where they asked few things like number of applicants and whether employed or self-employed. They took passport, BRP, supporting evidence and application form etc and asked to take a seat.
Within 5 mins they have called for biometric on another desk.

Around 8:20AM I have given biometric and was told to either wait in the cafe or can go outside the building and they will let me know. Maximum time they have given was 90 mins.

I have waited in the cafe, and around 8:55 my token number appeared on screen as 'READY FOR COLLECTION'. At 9:00 AM I was called to a counter where they have told me my application was successful and I have been granted ILR.

Application Details:

Single Applicant - Tier 1 General Route

2 Passports
1 BRP Card
2 Photographs (They just took 1 and returned the other one)
1 Set O application form

Supporting Evidence:

12 monthly salary slips
3 dividend vouchers
1 Accountant letter
12 months bank statement
1 Expired IELTS Certificate
1 Life in UK Passed Certificate
1 PBS Calculator Print Out
1 Personal letter mentioning absence from UK

Summary:

Application Date: 09.06.2014
Appointment Time: 08:00AM
Decision Time: 09:00AM
Decision: Successful Application- ILR Granted
BRP Card Received on 11.06.2014

Comments: Keep application+ evidence as simple as you can, and you will get quick decision.

Note: I am running my own Software Development Company for last 5 years and have shown all income from same source.

Hi Aftab,

Big congrats on your successful application for ILR.

Got a small query below buddy:

1. I would assume you were not taking monthly dividends and covered your 40,000 + yearly requirement with just three dividend vouchers. Is that correct, please correct me if am wrong.

Regards..

Hi

I have got just 3 dividends (after every 4 months) in the whole year. But it does not matter you take them once, twice, or how many times in a financial year as far as you attach all dividend vouchers with your application.

BTW, I had to prove £23,000 annual income so it was not a big deal for me.

I just got my second extension approved and due for ILR now. So, trying to understand the requirements for ILR.

Is it £23,000 for everybody? My first entry was in 2009 on Tier 1 Visa.
Can u pls advice.

First of all congrats and I have a question .

Did you not take your degree certificate? Is expired IELTS or TOEFL sufficient as a proof of English.

No need for degree, if you have already sent it very first time with the app. Also, expired IELTS is fine.

No, its not 23,000 for everyone. It depends on how many points you are claiming for earnings. I was required 20 points only and that is why need to prove 23,000 as income.
