UrgentChange of Name in Indian Passport...Advise Gurus

Gurus,

I got my 2nd extension done successfully two weeks back.

As my passport was about to expire in the next few months, so I applied at HCI London last week for passport renewal and got my new passport today.

The problem is my old passport have only Given Name[Shows my full name] and Surname field was empty [mistake done by passport office when I got my passport 10 years back]

Now I got that fixed in my new passport and now its correctly showing my Given Name and Surname.

My query is do i need to inform UKBA about this change?

Mahaguru Amber and other senior Gurus please advise.. As I ll be traveling to India soon...

Does your BRP shows correct name, like in your new passport? If it does, no need to inform HO. If not, contact HO and get it changed in BRP.
