I called 17 different NCSs in different town, they all said that they never heard about this, they even have cermonies planned already for July and people booked already.

Maria1981 I can see that you applied through Brighton NCS which I called and they said this is not right.

I'm only passing on what I thought would be useful information.
The lady in question is actually very nice and honest and open.
Next time I shall keep the information to myself.

I have copied and pasted this email from the May timeline as I see MHent is calling me a liar
I am only passing on what I thought would be useful information and do not appreciate your tone Mhent, I have also not made anything up, your comments are not needed and I do not need to be made upset by yourself when this is already a stressful time

I applied from Brighton.

For all the negativity I will be leaving the forum as I have found it be rather stressful and unsupportive in this matter

If you post a message telling people they'll have to wait months you can expect them to be annoyed. Although, you shouldn't be called a liar. Send me a link to that please.

Hello everyone, thank you all for giving so much useful information.
Application Timeline
Eligibility criteria: ( 2 year spouse visa + 18 months ILR)
Language criteria met : Life in Uk , B1
Method of application: post
Date of application: 23 April 2014
Payment method: Debit card
Date of debit of fees: 1 May 2014
Date of receipt of acknowledgement: 1 May 2014
Date of receipt of approval: Still waiting
Date of Ceremony:...

Almost 2 weeks ago I received from HO my supporting documents back with a letter(Dated 05 June 2014) saying: For your convenience the enclosed documents have been noted and returned to you.The application will be considered on the information that has been recorded. but it may be necessary to ask for them to be returned.

What does this mean???  So they just started processing my application :?: :?: :?: :(
Now that I got my documents back can I travel, or should I be here? I read here somewhere that that the ceremony can be booked in 90 days time?I am planning to apply fort the British passport after I come back, maybe in September ( hope I receive the approval soon :? :? ... )
I will try to call them on Monday...

Congrats to all of you who already got the approval and very good luck to the rest of us!

@bkarthikisc: I did call both my local registry and the nationality helpline.
my local registry said they don't have my certificate yet and a guy from the nationality helpline said that letter hasn't been dispatched yet. I'm beginning to worry

Might be worth calling the home office and checking.

Language criteria met : LIUK + IELTS for HSMP (the lady at NCS first said my IELTS certificate is not valid since it's not on her list and that she'll confirm with her colleagues and let me know if it's a problem, never heard back so assumed it was fine)
Method of application: NCS
Date of application: 15/04/2014
Payment method: Credit card (Bank blocked my transaction since it was "suspect", so I had to phone up and make another payment once I realised what had happened)
Date of receipt by UKBA: 17/04/2014
Date of acknowledgement: 29/04/2014
Date of debit or clearance of fees: 01/05/2014

I phoned to get a progress update on Friday (13th of June) and they weren't able to help me, but phoned back Saturday morning to let me know my application is under consideration.
So I phoned the HO again since it's now around 76 days and no news yet. Apparently my application is still with the unit doing the referencing checking and only after that it will be assigned to a case worker :? !!! From what I understand from the guy on the phone my application is with a group that's busy and as a result have a backlog and that's why people who have applied later already have heard back from them, not so sure how true that is, but it's rather annoying to see other people getting their feedback already.

Receive a phone called from HO this morning Saturday . LADY on the phone asked to confirmed my details and told me the decision has been made on the 9th this month and letter sent and if i didn't get the letter which i said no. She said she will ask the case worker to send another letter.
i hope it s a good news and i will get very soon.
I am still waiting for the letter .I couldn't resist to call again today ,they took my detail and an adviser will call me back again.
How long does it take to send even if it 2nd class surely it is not a month. I am going on holiday in August for 3 weeks. what will happen if like they said the decision has been on the 9th of June and I don't receive it before I travel does the 3 month limit will apply? when does the 3 month limit for the ceremony begin?

Please add me to the list. Both me and wife are anxiously waiting for our brown envelope with good news. Wish this ordeal would end soon.

Eligibility criteria: 5 years ILR + 1 year
Language criteria met (UK degree, exempt countries, PBS used documents, NARIC, or B1 test): PBS and NARIC SoC for wife, only PBS for myself.
Current nationality: Indian
Method of application: NCS
Council name if NCS used: Eastleigh
Date of application: 22 April 2014
Payment method CC/DC, Personal cheque, Bankers cheque etc: CC
Date of receipt by UKBA: 24 April 2014
Date of acknowledgement: 30/04/2014
Date approval received: Awaited
Date of ceremony: Awaited

I called up Home office twice and have been told my application is in "last stages" waiting to be signed by supervisor. Twice in last 2 weeks I've been told same thing. I don't know what that means.
When my wife called she got the standard response of "under consideration". They could not confirm if it was assigned to a case worker or not. I also asked if there are any follow up request for further documents sent and was told no.

Is there any way we can force a callback from the advisor? Or is that purely luck based.

Hi Sachpuro!

I am in the same boat. I applied in last week of April. As per my experience and analysis ( Offcoure not sure), contact center have two tiered response team. Almost a month ago, adviser called me back and told me that your application is in 'final stages' and all i could say is that 'it will be in the post soon'. Since then, I could only speak to the person who picks up the phone. So far I have been told, 'six months time limit', 'decision pending', 'with case worker' etc etc. So yes I guess adviser speak to the caseworker directly whereas staff who picks up phone have access to whatever is there on the system.

I can understand your situation that if sign was the only outstanding item, then it should not have taken longer. Having said that, I hope and pray that since it takes letter 5-7 days to reach, your letter will be somewhere in the posting process.Fingers crossed.
