"kbs0425" Hi Khaleelsubhani

Can you confirm if you paid for priority processing? This seems quite fast; I applied at a similar time and enrolled biometrics on 4th June so am just wondering if you had asked for any expedited processing?

congratulations on receiving your visa!

thanks.

Hi scro2014, can you please indicate when your leave is valid from and until when? I know someone who is going to make the same application and he needs to know whether the valid from date is the same as the start date indicated on COS or is it the visa issue date. He also need to know the expiry date if it is 3 years from the issue date or from the valid from date? By the way, did you apply for Tier 2 up to 3 years or Tier 2 over 3 years (which could grant you up to 5 years)? Thanks

Hello Khaleel,
I just have a few more questions :)

1) You paid £1204 per person or in total(both you and your wife) for the postal application of 5 years?
2) You mentioned that your COS was valid for 4 years. May I know where can I find that information from? I definitely need to apply for 5 years and don't want to get a 3 year visa if my COS is valid for only three years.Do I need to let my employer know that they should give me a COS letter for 5 years or 4 years or something? Or will it just come up with an expiry date?
3) In terms of documents, you mentioned marriage certificate. Was your marriage certificate from an Asian country?
Did you do a paper application or an online application and printed it off? Could you provide me with any links as such?
Also I have my sponsor giving me a letter to show that they will cover me and my wife for the first month of employment. Do I need anything else to show on that apart from that in maintenance funds?

May I ask what all documents did you submit for your wife? My wife is already on a tier-2 dependant visa. I am just switching my sponsor.

Hello vpruk,

Looks like UKBA are doing their visa bit quite fast lately within a month. May I ask how long was your COS valid for? I heard if you apply for 5 years and if your COS was valid for 4 years, you get a 4 year visa. Also did you complete the application form online or on paper? Could you please tell me the list of documents you had sent along with your application form? Kindly confirm that to me please and congrats in advance for your visa.

Hello squalliram

Yes Home office is good in processing Tier 2 visa if it is striaght forward. I did apply for 5 years with 5 years duration in CoS.

1. If you have CoS for 4 years duration, you should either apply for 5 years application unless u wish to have 3 years. I would recommend to discuss with your employer to have 5 years to mention in 5 years as the fees is double the money as 3 years and you are wasting more money if you only got 4 years cos.

2. i did papaer application.

3. I sent them only my and my dependant passport as i am changing employment - no need to show funds, english. Just CoS unique number and passport.

Any doubts, message me anytime. Good Luck.

I got 3 yrs plus one month first time, this time it is 3yrs minus 1 month.
I think this is because maximum allowed time in tier 2 is 6 years.

For extension we need only sponsorship certificate , passport , photo, previous BRP, Salary slip.
No bank statement needed even if there are dependent applying with you.

Hello,

I was just completing my application form for Tier-2 General and was wondering if I need to submit all my passports or not? I have had 4 passports in total and the application form has space for the current one and one previous passport. Do I need to submit all my previous passports?

Also my wife is already under Tier-2 dependant visa and I have used my marriage certificate earlier to show proof of marriage for getting the dependant visa. Do I need to supply proof of marriage certificate again along with the other documents?

Kindly let me know.

Good luck.
