Called the HO this morning for the update on my application (applied on 06/05/14). Well, apparently, my application is still sitting in a in a cheks/criminal records department (and has been there for the last 7 weeks:(. They will only sign my application to a caseworker once they have received the results of checks. The guy over the phone was very friendly but he sounded a bit apologetic to me. He confirmed, that a current processing time is about 10 weeks, rounded up to 3 months. He also confirmed, that their sistem is updated every day, so the info given is up to date. Nothing I can do about it really, but go with the flow .

Same here, I insisted on finding out what exactly is going on with the application and they wouldn't know. Then told me that my application hasn't been allocated to a case worker yet... Oh well!
Goodluck.

Their is no point ringing home office as they have same answer for all applicants that your application is under consideration even one guy I spoke to simply said that it can take upto 6month urs only been 2 month so be patient its probably for better as I heard in some councils people aren't receiving invitation letter while they have their approval since end of may wonder whats happening

You are right king hassi ! Today it is 60th day since my application received by Home Office, still no response.

Up to April applications, average processing time was about 50 days :(

you are right about that, it looks like a delay clearly. I applied at the start of may but got it approved roughly within 45-50 days. Best thing is not to worry, there are rare/far less reasons of failure at this stage compared to ILR or Tier1 extension applications. Fingers crossed !
I have my ILR since march 2013, previously based on HSMP+Tier1 ext. All views are my own, am not a professional on immigration matters.

Eligibility criteria: 12 years partner of Work Permit + Tier 2 Visa
Language criteria met (UK degree, exempt countries, PBS used documents, NARIC, or B1 test):exempt country
Current nationality: US
Method of application: NCS
Council name if NCS used: Wandsworth
Date of application: 6/5/14
Payment method CC/DC, Personal cheque, Bankers cheque etc: DC
Date of receipt by UKBA: 7/5/14
Date of aknowlegment: 16/5/14
Date of debit or clearance of fees: 13/5/14
Date approval received:

The day I applied a couple of friends also applied at the Council. They both have received their approvals but I haven't received one yet. Apparently my application is still in process.

Should I be worried? Is there any reason for the time discrepancies in processing?

I sooooomuch regret now I didn't go to the council now. Not only massive delay in my seriously important plans but also NO documents I really need!! This ruins all my year and possibly future.:((((

hi all,

please add me to the list, after waiting over 2 months i have given hope. Passport backlog is biting hard now.

Eligibility criteria: ILR + 1.5 Year
Language criteria : UK degree + LIUK
Current nationality:
Method of application: NCS
Council name if NCS used: Hunslow
Date of application: 6/5/14
Payment method CC/DC, Personal cheque, Bankers cheque etc: DC
Date of receipt by UKBA: 15/5/14
Date of aknowlegment: 19/5/14
Date of debit or clearance of fees: 15/5/14
Date approval received: TBC

called HO last week and yep the same response its not six months yet so wait

Dont think Naturalization applications are priority anymore as they clearly say can take six months. so hold your breath and forget about an approval for six months as you have heard the news that UKVI team (if not all most of them) joined Passport office to clear the backlog

and as the backlog has gone up even after adding more staff there is no sign of an answer any sooner

good luck all
