Tier 2 General: Contract role in India b4 UK visa approval

Hello,

I am working in ORG-A in India and I have got a job offer from ORG-B UK. ORG-B are ready to sponsor my Tier 2 General Visa and my Visa process will start in next few days.


As the Visa process takes 3 months or so, ORG-B wants me to join ORG-B in India as a short term contract and they are ready to pay X amount per month until I get my UK Visa. Has anyone been in this situation? Is it ok to work as a contractor in ORG-B India while my Visa is still in process for same company in UK? Will there be any other potential problems for my Job or Visa?

It will not be a problem - your visa will be granted on the basis of a restricted COS so it really does not matter who you are working for in India.
So long as you meet the individual requirement for the visa.
