NCS appointment ...06/05/2014
Approval ...dated 20th of August( received 1st of September) the same date received the invitation letter for ceremony..
Ceremony date: 18th of September

Received my letter from the home office yesterday! Very relieved given the long wait time. Good luck to everyone else, seems like they're starting to come through now. Also, for those that are over the days threshold, it might be useful to know that I was too as a result of lots of trips overseas for work, and having got a letter from my employer, I'm pleased to say that the case worker used their discretion on this issue.

I just spoke to the Home office tried to sound as knowledgeable and nice as possible on the phone and they told me that my application HAS BEEN allocated to a caseworker and they are currently processing it!

Fingers crossed not long left

This made me feel so optimistic!

I feel like posting Will Smith tears of joy in the pursuit of happiness here haha

Great news, just got a call from Home Office, the guy had some questions about the order of my first name and middle names (some valid issue/clarification which I thought they would call( but he said he is going through my application now and unless there are any other issue, I should here from my council in next couple of weeks! so they are currently processing application received late May!! Finally some hope that things are moving!!

Hi Omar,

Said he is calling from Liverpool, Home Office. (came up as private number)
I am just above you in the list Shaheen posted mate, most probably your application is also being looked into today!

He said he is still going through my application (though everything looks okay until now - his words), he said if everything goes fine by evening, I should get a letter from my council regarding ceremony in next couple of weeks!! did not say anything about the letter they would send confirming naturalization.

I am kicking myself now about why I did not ask him about possibility of sending the ceremony details over to Wandsworth council as they do private ceremonies and it is lot quicker than waiting for a public ceremony.
Anyway I am positive its only couple of days of wait now.

hello all
I got approval letter today and they booked me for ceremony on 23rd september.

I have a question I have relocated down south now. my ceremony venue is in midlands.

Do I have a option to attend ceremony somewhere near to my new residential location after HO booked me for ceremony?
or
please let me know the procedure to change the venue and I do not want private ceremony.

Traffic enforcement center fined me on 20/10/2011.

Hi Sip,

I am not an expert in this matter, but as you did not have problem with ILR, you should be fine on that end, but as you have mentioned civil penalty, they might be performing some additional checks to confirm everything else is fine on your application. Did you call HO to check the status of your application.
Unless you have some serious bad record - you should be fine.
Strictly my opinion.
