Hi shaggie44 big big congratulations to you!!!!!!!, I applied on the 10th of July biometrics enrolled in the postoffice around the 6th of August, I have had to ring and ask cause im in danger of losing my nursing place in Uni, have told they are currently processing May applications. My question to you is how long roughly do you think it took them to process the April applications cause that will give me a rough idea of how long I have to wait before they get to my June one?? Also did you receive the decision letter before your Brp card?? If so when did you get your decision letter?? I know its lot to ask but im panicking and I feel like asking here on the forum is the only way to get answers cause the Home office jst says you have to wait. You guys are all great for sharing your experiences. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE

Thanks to everyone for keeping us updated in waiting times like these we feel clueless and out of strength we just have to hang on there it will be well one day.
Timeline applied 26th of June
Biometric letter arrived 1st of July and done same day
The wait continues.

Hi,shaggie44! Congratulations! I was just thinking there was no good news for long on this thread. Eventually you brought this good news.
You posted your form on 20/05 ,while I sent my form on 03/06. I may receive mine soon, but the problem is that I‘ve got a record of civil judgement regarding the overpayment of benefits. I have been worrying that it will affect my application for ilr. However,I never applied for travel documents and I stayed in the UK all the time, which might contribute to my case. Anyone else in this forum has the same problem. What do you think?
God bless us all!

@Destiny2014 they say if you have a criminal record it takes longer because they have to do some external inquries and its handled by criminal section of the home office.it actually says on their website that it takes up to 6 months to process your application if its straight foward and even longer if they have to make extenal enquiries. But they will write you if the 6 months have lapsed and your application will take longer.Did you use a solicitor?

Thank you,Blessedd! I do have a solicitor, but he said it should not be a big problem as I am paying back the overpayment. By the way ,the amount is over £4,000.I ever appealled to the Tribunal Service. My appeal was partly
allowed and a small reduction was made to the original amount. Although my solicitor said so,I‘m still worried about my application. I‘m sure it‘ll take long to be processed.

Masi 75,thank you for your information! Do you know how long it took for your friend‘s application to be processed?
And I really want to know his verdict from the DWP.My situation is when my partner who had no status at that moment moved into my house I didnt inform the JCP of that.
I would really appreciate it if you can give me more of your friend‘s information.

An update guys

Application posted : 20/05/2014
Application received : 22/05/2014
Biometric : 27/05/2014
Approval Letter Received: Awaiting (I have tracking number though)
BRP Card Received: 09/09/14

Stay strong people.

Slight downside the BRP comes with "REFUGEE SETTLEMENT", ever so minor to be honest, because it motivates you to save up to naturalise.
Congrats shaggie44. Wish you well

Welcome dgal

If you check out my wife's timeline you will see it's the same as yours so we will be following events on your side very closely. As for the response coming before end of Sept I think you will need great luck or some divine intervention if you are religious. To manage our expectations we anticipate mid Nov to end of Dec. Anything can happen though. Congrats on the nursing place and if you aren't so lucky you can defer until March intake. Can't you?

Hi destiny2014

I understand why you might think like that but I don't think you should worry too much. It's the criminal cases they are a bit harsh about and if you have a case pending they might wait until the decision has been made. In your case the civil case has been decided and I do not think there is much to follow up on unless a criminal case was opened as a result which appears not to be the case. Good luck

@dgal @destiny2014 Thank you people.

I think it is safe to say that the applications are now taking 4 months to be processed. And yes the BRP card came a day before the letter.

Good luck people

It's depressingly quiet here but I've heard of someone who applied mid June and they received everything last week.

Oh,Hwima,really? I‘m sad to hear that! :'(
Probably the delay is because of my civil judgement.

Hi,dgal! We can keep company now. I‘ve got a solicitor, and today I sent him an email regarding phoning up the Home Office but I haven‘t received his reply. Let‘s see if we can receive something at the beginning of October. If not, definitely I‘ll consider ringing them to see how things are going.

Doctor Jay, I do think you can ring solicitors and ask them this question although you may not sigh up with them. After all, they are specialists in this respect and it‘s only a simple question for them. They‘ll be willing to answer you.Good luck to you!
