Hi Sweets23, what kind of application are you on? I just phoned the HO a minute ago and the lady said that they are now processing SET(O) applications from May.... I applied on May 13th.

Thanks!

Hi Alms83,

It seems HO are processing SET (0) applications received around early-mid May. For Set (M) applications - looks like HO has started processing end of May- early June applications.

Cheers.

Oh thank you both for that! I think about it and my stomach turns.... it is such a cruel wait! That means that our applications should come around the same time (that is wishme6 and myself) as we both applied on May 13th... I will be checking this forum over and over again!

This is just a polite request to people who are phoning the Home Office for their application status before 6 months are passed.

You are always going to get the same answer no matter how hard you try. And that answer is not likely to be satisfactory if you are trying to see when the decision is going to be made.

If only 10% of the callers are trying to find the status of the application before the due date, it puts a huge strain on the system and the genuine callers don't get the chance to speak to advisor because the lines are already busy by those 10%.

It would be much appreciated if you keep patience and give others whos queries are much more important, the chance to speak to advisor.

(Although this post is not going to make much of a difference as majority of the traffic on the phone doesn't read this forum :)).
The views and opinions expressed in this post are exclusively mine and must be assumed as advice only. These do not necessarily reflect the official policy or position of any representative of the UK Home Office.

I'm on set m too. I applied June 4 and I'm hoping to get the result this month so that I can go for my holiday were I'm supposed to be going this month but I moved it on November because I know that my documents will take time to get back.

Thanks for creating this sheet.
I am unable to add my case details to this sheet, if you are centrally managing it, Could you please update the SET(O) applications or grant access to forum members so we can update our case details.
Hi t1_general,
I didn't create the spreadsheet and I don't know who did but if this person reads a big Thank you for such a useful resource.

The link for updating the records has been provided somewhere on this forum a while ago, but if anyone wants to add their details (I've added yours), here it is again:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... li=1#gid=0
(choose the category SET(O), SET(LR) or SET(M) at the borrom of the page.

If you just want to keep an eye, here's the link to the "viewing" spreadsheet (can't modify):
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... iew?pli=1#
Please note that in this spreadsheet the category is at the top of the page.

Hope that helps

Phew, my wait is over. I have received my BPR today, no passports or other paperwork yet, but I could deal with that for now. It has been a very long (16+ years), stressful and expensive journey to get to this point. It still hasn't sank in, I keep thinking it's just a dream.

Here's my timeline:
Application date: 29/ 05/ 2014 (SET(O) after 6 years DLR)
Ackno letter : 03/06/ 2014
Bio Metric received: 13/06/2014
Biometric sent: 18/06/2014
BRP received: 08/10/2014 (dated 06/10/2014)

Funny thing is every morning I have been anxiously waiting for my postman but my BRP was delivered after 5pm.

I do feel like I've cheated the queue as there are people on here that have applied before me and are still waiting for their results. I wish you all good luck, hopefully your wait will be over very soon as well.

I did both of them. At first I wasn't going to as the H/O website stated that those applying after Discretionary leave don't need to, but when I came to fill the forms I couldn't find that information any more and the SET(O) form didn't mention anything either. So I decided not to take any chances and take the tests.
