WORKING IN THE Netherlands!!!???

Post by try-one » Thu Nov 04, 2004 10:16 pm

Hello,
I just got an email from a big company in Eindhoven, Netherlands......they want a telephone interview... the problem that I have is that I'm completely ignorant about the job market in the Netherlands..... I know about the highly skilled immigration option and the 5 year residency leading to nationality, so that one is ok...., for an IT specialist guy, working in Info sec, 10 years experience, 4 top industry certifications....... can anyone help me with:
1) How much a person needs to live with a wife and a baby?
2) How much is the normal salary for a person with 10 years experience IT
3) How is life in eindhoven?
4) General recommendations?
any help will be most welcome.........

I heard and read about Nthereland's new immigration for it people..
what is the proceudre to apply for that?
I have 2 years experience and going to finsih masters course in germany. I am indian. is I am eligible to apply?
and I read in news papers that in netherlands , even non eu peopl don't need a work permit , residence permmit is enough.
Is it true?
If it is so, that means we should get a job over there?
Or else like usa are there any consutancies who offer jobs?

This page is in english:
http://www.ind.nl

explains all about the highly skilled immigrant option, residence permits and others.

I used www.monster.com, I created my cv in english and then entered the netherlands page from monster, the same layout and I searched for IT jobs in my area, a few came up and I got some responses after I applied. You will need a work permit, if you are us citizen you will need a work permit.
