Naturalisation Application date

Hi,

I have got a question on Application date.

I had NCS appt on 24/10/2014 and home office received application on 27/10/2014. I know I should be present on the day 5 years before the date of application. What is the date of application? is that NCS appt day or the day when home office received it?

I just noticed that I was on holidays 5 years ago same time but back to the UK on 25/10/2009. Is this going to be a problem?

Guessing you are still on the topic, I had my NCS done yesterday (Oct 29, 2014) and lady asked me if I was in country from Oct 29, 2009 to Nov 2009? I said yes I never left the country in 2009. She was satisfied with the answer.

I am thinking this is because of the unlikely issue my application could have taken more than a week to reach Home Office i.e. due to any unforeseen circumstances. So the NCS lady just played safe.
