But I am also seeing payment being taken in between "7 working days" so my application was on October 29, 2014 and Royal Mail tracking told it received Liverpool on 30th October 2014 someone named "NATIONALITY" received it  and till time of this writing no payment taken, I am guessing its by end of this week the payment will be taken.

I am also guessing its roughly three / three and half month's waiting time for decision.

Good luck all! :)
hey buddy, looks like me and you submitted our applications around the same time. I plan to submit my timeline later on this week once I get my ack letter. It'll be interesting to see how things pan out from here lol. Hopefully we won't have long to go. I submitted my application myself by post and my main concern is getting my passport back in time before I travel at the end of February. Do you know whether supporting documents are returned with acknowledgement letter or are they returned once the application is over? I've read so many conflicting accounts on here.
By the way, hello fellow October applicants :)
Experts can tell you better. My idea is, it comes with your decision if you haven't used NCS as that's mainly what NCS is used for, that you get your passport BRP etc back there and then.

It'd be better to put your timeline here too (grab format from first page) so that if someone wanted to make excel sheet (like other timeline threads) then you'd be included.

And welcome and good luck.

EXTREMELY WORRIED INDIVIDUAL

I came to the UK over 11 years ago -haven't left since- most of this time I was in education except for the last year where I was taking a gap year.

My worry stems from having to prove I haven't left the UK for a period of over 90 days for the last year. The thing is, the original passport I came on got lost, my new passport only covers 6 months. Of the 9 months without said passport I can only account for 3 months where I worked. I wasn't claiming any benefits during this period, my parents were my main and only source of financial support -apart from the temp job. I requested a letter from the gp to confirm dates I attended appointments. However, I haven't really attended many appointments; I'd estimate about ~5 appointments within the past year, 2 of which are possibly within the 6 months..

I also recently got my BRP and one of the conditions of getting one is that you haven't left the UK for over 2 years, and you had to claim any absences you have on the ntl form, I didn't have any absences... So will this cover me?

The NCS representative sounded pretty sure that my application would get rejected.
Is there a high chance of this happening?
Isn't everything electronic nowadays so the Home Office would be able to verify if I've left at any point?
Any information/ help will be greatly appropriated!:)

Eligibility criteria: ILR 11years
Language criteria: B1+ LIUK

Payment method: debit card
Date of receipt by UKBA: 03/11/14

Eligibility criteria: Spouse of BC - 3 year residency+ILR
Language criteria met - Life in UK test + national of majority English-speaking country
Current nationality: New Zealand
Method of application: NCS
Council name if NCS used: Bromley
Date of application: 15/10/2014
Payment method : Credit Card
Date of receipt by UKBA:
Date of acknowledgment:
Date of debit or clearance of fees: 30/10/2014
Date approval received:
Date of ceremony:

I also applied on the 15th October and had the fee deducted on 30th October (showed up in statement on 1st Nov, although I didn't check on the 31st). I also haven't received a confirmation email or letter. I think that this is just the basic time period for those of us who applied mid-October. Perhaps whoever processed the payment just didn't send the confirmation emails for no particular reason. It happens sometimes, apparently. School half-term was the last week of October in England and Wales, so maybe lots of people took a holiday, and the process was slowed down. As it seems to have happened this way for most of us, it probably doesn't indicate problems with any individual cases.

Did find the reference number in the end?

Hi

No actually.
There isn't any reference number.

All it says name of the NCS person who dealt with my application, type etc. And an other paper which questions (yes/no) photocopy.

I hope they have recieved it.
My original LIUK certificate is in there. :?

I suugest, you apply for SAR report, it cost £10 and takes around 3 months to arrive. The SAR report is Home office report which tells you about you country entry and Exit date wth flight number. They also attach photo copy of your immigration card which you fill up on the arrival in UK. This is official report by home office and should serve your purpose.

Moreover, it looks like you have already applied and if you have mentioned in the application about the loss of your passport and have included sufficient proof then I think Home office would be able to verify your absence from their system.

It seems they took 2 weeks to debit October applicants . Hopefully that won't affect the overall processing time.

Hopefully not. September is already seeing several approvals, so hopefully October will be quick too!

Doesn't seem like this forum has many October applicants compared to previous months, though.

Hi all. There is indeed a major delay in Home Office's acknowledgement of applications made in October. My timeline is:

Date application delivered to HO: 13 Oct 14
Date acknowledgement email received from HO: 04 Nov 14
Date Fee deducted: 04 Nov 14
Date acknowledgement letter received: 06 Nov 14 (but dated 03 Nov 14)

This forum is really useful. Keep up the good work chaps.

Hi S khan
Yes it will be intersting to see what happens with our applications as you applied 1 month prior to me.
Also the lady at ncs said not a lot of people apply for naturalisation in our area so we will see if that makes any difference.
Let me know if you hear anything :-)
Good luck

It certainly took longer time (17 days) to deduct the fee compared to average time that being observed in last few months.

Congratulations "adnanjamil"
Wow that is impressive, i bet you will be over the moon as ur wait is over and you got the approval so quickly. It proves that if HO caseworkers decide to work properly then decisions can be made quicker than 6 months.
It is interesting that on the general timescale forum there are few members who applied on 4 sep have got their approval yesterday so all of us (October apps) can hope for the best :)
