MN1 (registration) application processing timelines (only)

I see most of you have received the registration certificate the same day as approval letter which is not the case for me. Is there a way I can follow up and expedite. I did call them up and they mentioned to wait for 2 weeks. Please can anyone help?

Hi Fab , Did you call or write them an email. Its really frustrating honestly. I did call them up and it seems they just dont care. I have booked in a passport appointment and seems nothing is going as per plan.
I'm still waiting for the 2nd certificate I sent them a letter last Tuesday 04/11/14, I'm just frustrated I don't know what to do anymore.

Also this site made me a bit worried when I sent my application without a passport of a parent and then I read on here it was expected. The guide doesn't say anything about it and now I can confirm that a passport of a parent is not required.

Documents I sent: Application form, UK birth certificate, Marriage certificate + English sworn translation, child's passport
