Hi mirzanaseer79,

I also posted my son's application to the address: "PIO Section, High Commission of India, India House, Aldwych, London, WC2B 4NA." on 21st Oct 2014 and the royal mail tracking says its been received on 22nd Oct 2014 as follows "Your item with reference SF189051777GB was delivered from our WEST CENTRAL LONDON Delivery Office on 22/10/14 ."

Have a quick question: When you say "Date application received by HCI: 04/11/2014 (7 working days, i have concluded they collect once a week)", do you mean:
- Received as per the royal mail tracking number on royal mail track and trace link at https://www.royalmail.com/track-your-item; OR,
- Did you receive any separate email or sms that its been received at HCI?

Which location was it received at? HCI London?

Regards,
Saanvi

Hi

As, I send application via Recorded delivery, they did not delivered next day.

I have conluded, HCI have an pratice of collecting the 'First or Second Class recorded letters' once a week from Royal mail, as they need to sign and acknowledge the reciept of ten's/hundered's, to avoid more work.

I did send to HCI, London.

I did not recieve any email or such. The date on Royal mail tracking confirmed, it was delivered and sign by 'Parmilla'
Please let me know, which original or copies send in your application.

I have send:
Application form /4 passport size photos
Adult application Fees £217
Original Surrender Certificate
Copies of British Passport/Naturalisation Cert/Marriage Certificate/Surrender certificate/Last Revoked Indian Passport
Self address retun envolope to return the original surrender certificate
I hope this anwers your question.

Hi mirzanaseer79,

Thanks for your reply. My application was for my minor son only so the fees were different. I sent exactly the same as above documents both originals and photocopies. I sent the original passports of me and my son both.

Good luck for your PIO.

Hi,

We too applied for our PIO cards on 16/10/2014 at HCI London office and everyday, we are waiting for the delivery of our PIO cards.

Currently, we are checking the delivery of our cards using Royalmail's track and trace service. Although, in the past, I've experienced that it's not reliable at all. Even if the parcel is delivered, the status is not reflected on Royalmail's website.

In case if you receive PIO cards, please keep us posted.

Hi,

Thank you for sharing the email addresses.

I had sent an email to info.london@hcilondon.in alone as I was not aware of other email addresses on 11/11/2014 with the reference numbers but got the typical response:

"Your PIO applications are under process. You will receive your documents shortly. Postal applications take minimum 6 weeks and counter applications take 4 weeks"

Did they tell you, approximately when will you get your PIO cards? If yes, when are you going to get the PIO cards? Our PIO cards should arrive around same time as yours, as we too applied on 16/10/2014.

Appreciate your help.

- is it 35 mm by 45 mm
- or 50 mm by 50 mm ?

Has anyone applied for a PIO recently? Preferably by post to CGI Birmingham? Please could you contribute your experience/ timeline? I sent through 3 PIO applications on the 3rd of Jan this year.
