Thats good. I called my council left my details. I might able to book appt for ceremony. Will be great if I could do it before I am.going home :-)

But the most important is I got my approval. Ceremony can be later. When I come back I will apply for my passport next year.
To tell the truth I have my ID and my Hungarian passport so I am no rush :-)

Good luck ;-)

I called my council today but they cannot do anything without my invitation letter :-(
She said defo they have no appt at the end of February but she said she could arrange a private one just in case not to run of of time as it has got an expiry date.
Or the other option I can come back in January for a day just for the ceremony
Will see

Hopefully I will get the invitation letter before I leave and we will go from there :-)

Has anyone who hasn't received anything yet written to their MP to ask for help? Or is it too early for this? Would it cause any damage to go ahead with it?

Hi

In my opinion it is too early to do anything yet. It is a waiting game really

When I called them last week HO said basically they had 4 more months to decide. Till then there is nothing else to do just to wait

Are you an EU citizen, if I remember well. Do you have PR card?

Hi

Today I received following e-mail from UK Visa Services.

I haven't received anything yet. :|
Or shall I expect something in the post in the next few days ??

If I were you I would call them!
Have you sent pre paid envelope to them? Because if you have not I would be worried that Royal Mail lost the approval.

Or they just make a mistake.

Either way I would call them to clarify what is going on!
Good luck!

Seems to me that your approval is on its way. Survey invite is sent along with approval. It used to be paper before but I think they have changed it to email now.

If the email was sent in the last day or two then I think you dont have to do anything because approvals are sent by second class post and even in normal conditions they take around 5-7 working days to arrive - christmas ruch might delay even further. I hope you will get it soon.
