Hello all,

We're also in exactly the same situation(my wife and baby are in India waiting for British passport)! My son's (born in April this year) passport application was sent by VFS to Liverpool office and fees got debited on September 16th. Last week I've received an email from passport office asking me to forward the passport I've holded at the time of our son's conception. I've sent it by royal mail last week and haven't heard anything from them since. Royal mail tracking tells me that my parcel (Indian passport colour photo copy) has been received and also could see signature proof on royal mail website. So far so good. At the time of conception I've holded Indian passport (with ILR) in UK and have become British citizen by naturalization before his birth.

I've spoken to an Immigration lawyer in UK and I was clarified that those who become naturalized citizens are "British Citizens Otherwise Than By Descent" and they can pass their British Citizenship to their children born in and out of UK.

If anybody have any other updates can you also please post it hhere?

Also if anybody have received their children's passports recently can they please share their news and experiences?

Thanks in advance!!
