Congrats @ Spatacus make dua for us and @Maddysheffield yes I am feeling the pain. would like to know why they are not efficient enough??????????????????????????????????
Consider this is election year. Thus, the less number of applications aproved before april the smaller their numbers regarding migration which is "statistically good" news to show "something has been done towards migration". Expect any type of HO processing becoming slower from now on.

@abbeywell No offence but Please don't over think and assume things :-) .... just to let you know that the election is in May ...... and April immigration stats will not come out in july ....:-)

So chill just wait and be patient and relax till you get your approval :-)

Hi All,

I have received acknowledgement letter dated 24th dec 2014. Letter is posted by home office on 30th Dec 2014 and received letter on 2nd jan 2015.

I did phone home office on 2nd to find out about acknowledgement letter (just before i received the letter) but they were not able to find my application detail from their computer.

I have received letter and today I phoned them to find out have they put my data in the computer ? but still same reply they do not have any detail of my application even though I received an acknowledgement letter from them.

Is this common ? Please help I am worried.

Thanks

Especially Pending Aug applicants should get theirs this week all at once :-)
Hi Maddy,

Happy new year. I hope this is true and we get our approvals this week. As far as I understood and previous experience HO only sends applications on Friday as all recorded delivery received by our friends are either sat or monday and if a person hasnt send return envelop the it takes one or two more days. What do you think on this.

I am refugee and I sent my Biometric 30 days ago ... do you have any idea when they will send me my approval letter?

thanks
we need more information about your visa applications although if you are a refugee your application is normally decided based on descretionary consideration. However if you applied under 10 years long residence on SET ( LR ) application form then the official waiting times is 6 months from the date of application. However they might consider your application before the 6th month.

Hi
I submitted 10 year long residency application in 3rd Oct. Bio metric done on 29th OCT.
Please advise, My sister in home back in Lahore is very sick .
Kindly suggest me if I ask to my local MP with proof of doctors prescription so do you think it will be normal or risky ? And apart from expedite the process of deciding the application will it have some negative impact on decision as well
Thanks

Dec22 be patient you submitted your application in December so it's possible that HO are still inputing your details in their system as you have received ack letter that shows that your application is currently being processed. Give them sometime before phoning again. Look at the google drive and see the trends. Be patient.

@cisco89 //// you can as I said earlier send a letter to HO informing them and asking them to consider to expedite your case ( according to some members who did it before )

or contact Local MP who can send letter behalf of yourself

In both scenarios there decision will not be affected ...in clear words they will be picking up you application instead of September applicant that's all giving priority because you have an urgent requirement ...

The decision is based on your application only .... whether its normal process or expedited in both your application is considered according to rules

Just you would jump the Q ... approval or rejection according to your application and not if you expedite or not

Hope you get it.. Hope things get better with your sister soon .

@cisco89 not only doctors prescriptions you need other medical report documents detailing what is the matter with ypur sister and the possible treatment she is currently undergoing and the reason why you must travel back assuming you are the only person looking after your sister then your reasons will be considered. Its not difficult to just meet your MP and tell him about your sister but the ability to send supporting documents with MP letter is very important.
