It can take a while for acknowledgement to arrive or it may even be lost. If the email has the HO reference number then I wouldn't worry about it that much. Give it couple of weeks atleast.

IMPRESSIVE! Just over a month with Xmas and New Year in the middle

Mine had been quick too. Just 10 if we take away the holidays. Sent my application 15th of December and got my approval on the 5th of January. The letters they've sent were a little delayed. My letter of acknowledgement was dated 24th December and got it on the 5th on January and my approval was dated 5th of January and got the letter 12th.

Congrats to everyone who got theirs back so far. I've applied on 3rd December and still haven't got mine. Strangely enough there are applications which were made 2 weeks after mine and already got approval.

I am in a strange situation where have received an invitation from council but not received the HO Invite. I guess not putting a recorded delivery envelope was a big mistake. Anyone knows how this can be sorted given that I have only a couple of weeks to produce the HO invite?

I'm guessing that you need to call urgently the Home Office and ask them to re-send it.

Change to my previous post:
The postal acknowledgement is addressed to both my wife and I.
Number of applicants says 2
Application Form says 2

So I believe home office sends one acknowledgement for both applicants if applied together. This is my view.

Hi Galaxy1 thanks, she told me the same like application will take 6 months then again i call the number this time one guy picked the phone i explain him that my friend who submitted after me they got the approval and i just want to know whether the decision on my application is made or still in process.he told me to dial the 03001232253 option 1 and then option 2.the operator will tell you the waiting time is 8 minutes approximately.after sometime it connected i told that i want to know the status of my application he ask me ref no,full name and date of birth.he said decision was made yesterday and despatched.
