How do you know ?where you got your information from?
I remember reading in an earlier report (also by John Vine, I think it was published in 2010) about nationality team , that they consider applications in 2 stages: 1) doing checks, and 2) once the checks are completed, the files are assigned to caseworkers for final decision.

You can search for that report on immigration inspector general website.

Dear Friends,
I have forgot my log in details so registered again to let you know the outcome.

I have got my approval today.
Applied first week of May 2014
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT I hope 12 or 13 May
Approval 23/01/2015
Letter Received 30/01/2015 Just now.

I hope they have started sending the pending approvals now so be patient you will be getting most of the approvals this month I hope finger crossed.

Just to let you know I have filed a complaint on 19/01/2014 and case decided on 23rd so I want you to file a complaint on complaints@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk which will be helpful.

I have also contacted my local MP on Monday this week and they have wrote a letter on yesterday before I have got the approval so just file a complaint to home office they will definitely chase up your case.

Best of Luck.

Congrats!!!!
Hope we all going to get decisions very soon

P.S. I did sent a complaint to HO on 8/1/15 never had even a reply yet, so don't think complaints are helpful.

Hi Sonnyboy8011, no I have never been to court for this but back in 2008 they questioned me for this when I applied for my student visa but they didn't have proof so they gave me the visa, the school is no more in existence so I can't contact them to give me sch dates for that year and the job I did at that time they don't have the rotas so only thing left is to contact solicitors another expense for me.

Finally may applications have started rolling again. When I called my mp again on the 20th they called the HO and let me know that it was done that day. After a few days when I called the contact centre to enquire they informed me that it was done on 24th. And of course now I received the letter dated 22nd. I can only guess that they picked up my application on 20th of Jan after second enquiry by my MP and completed it within 2 days.
Anyway below is my timeline. Final updates are in bold.
Best of luck to all waiting.

Eligibility criteria: HSMP + Tier 1 + ILR
Language criteria met: Old IELTS
Current nationality: Pakistani
Method of application: NCS
Council name if NCS used: Barking
Date of application: 01 May 2014
Payment method: Debit Card
Date of receipt by UKBA: 2 May 2014
Date of acknowledgement: 15 May 2014 (Dated 12/05/2014)
Date of debit or clearance of fees: 12/05/2014
Date approval received: 29th of January 2015 (dated 22/1/15)
Date of ceremony: Scheduled for 9th of February 2015
Goodluck.

Yes Sonnyboy8011, I waited 8months for the decision after writing two letters of complaint to them and to make matters worse that case worker said I can't apply again after 10years but reconsideration forms were sent.

Hi LCJ I'm so sorry about the refusal unfortunately you fall under the very unfair new home office rules from 12th December 2014 which state anyone with any negative immigration history within the last 10 years will likely be refused. This new rule includes applications made before December 2014 on which no decision had been made. Sadly your application fell under this. Highly unfair. How can the home office take your money and then change the rules without warning. I'm sure many cases will be appealed upon this basis. Really wrong on many levels. Good luck with an appeal. Don't give up.

Thank you all for the encouragement but l will be seeing the solicitor next week as there is no deadline for reconsideration and will keep you informed but it's so annoying I applied in May waiting for all that time for them to change their rules anyway let's wait and see.

He doesn't need to get caught. If he worked through an employer and paid tax everything, it's pretty easy for HO to get the information.

YES , I know, HO can easily find, but I'm bit curious , what happened in their case ?
HO checked by their self or applicant has been caught ?
