Help with Question on VAF2 settlement form

Dear All

Im filling in settlement form VAF2 for my husband, Section 3 Question 3.1 asks 3.1 Have you ever been married, in a relationship like a marriage, or a civil partnership? Should he tick YES here as he is married to me, his sponsor in UK? or is this asking about previous marriages? It carries on to say..................
If you have answered yes to question 3.1, please give details, including dates, below. If you have been widowed, divorced, had a
dissolved civil partnership or are a surviving civil partner, please indicate here. Neither of us have been previously married


Will most appreciate clarification, thanks
