Hi

I applied (i.e. sent mine through the post office, check & send) process on Monday, 16/02 (day I got my naturalisation certificate).

I have not got an sms yet and it seems like most on here, get the text within 2 - 3 days. Should I be worried?

quick question:

applied for my son _1 yr_registered british citizen under section 1(3)
applied for his passport on 6th feb
got the passport on 17th feb
but i sent his original registration certificate and original full uk birth certificate
i didnot recieve them yet? when will i recieve them?
i need them to apply for his OCI card to travel to india?

anybody with same problems and still waiting for original supporting docs sent to passport office

ONLINE FORM SHOULD ONLY BE USED FOR RENEWAL OF YOUR PASSPORT HOWEVER FIRST TIME APPLICANTS NEED TO FILL THE FORM AND POST IT OR USE THE CHECK AND SEND SERVICE AT YOUR NEAREST POST OFFICE.

There is not need to use caps for that. People already know this from online application time line.
You could have included covering letter with your parents details along with your first application and you wouldn't have faced delay. It has already been discussed in online passport application time line thread.

Hi guys, just to let you know, I waited 8 days before I heard back and that was the interview letter. They don't always send an acknowledgement email/ text on receipt. i also applied on the day of my ceremony

I tracked it and moreover if you used check &send
It's next working day delivery!!

What is your claim to citizenship; descent / naturalization? I heard from another member that it may work for claiming through descent.

Hi there is naturalisation, and yes it may be right for those through descent. Still annoying that close to a year they haven't fixed a simple coding issue and prefer to double red tape the whole thing.
