Congrats Anoolka.

I arrived home to find a brown envelope on the mat. Unfortunately it wasn't an approval, rather, a request for more information. My case is not straightforward so I did not expect a quick decision. I already provided additional information in December 14.

Anyway, at least it's an encouraging sign for everyone that September applications are being processed. :D

A French citizen just got his approval today who applied on 15 Jul 2014. So we september applicants aren't that bad I assume. Anyone know how many or percentage of September still waiting? God bless us all!

For God sake, I'm approaching end of 6 long months and late Jan 15 applicants are booking their ceremonies. What's going on in the name of additional and external checks? We are living in 2015. What's going on?

I don't think we will get anything within 6 months but upon checking some Jan 14 and Feb 14 applicants, some of them received decisions after one year.

Can anyone tell what is bench mark for the maximum time. I am tired. I just want to leave the matter for another may be 6 months but any idea how long maximum it could take? 1 year or more?

It might take another 6 months or more "if you need further checks" and you gotta wait until atleast march which is the official end of 6 months to find out whether you are the "lucky one"...

this recent review in December basically handed home office a new excuse to delay applications further without making them accountable to anyone....

Just seen on the main forum of naturalisation timelines and two guys for approvals; first applied on 25 jan and got approved on 16 feb and second one applied on 2 feb and approval received on 25th.

What does this show? Where are their checks?

I think they have lost our applications somewhere or may be lost our track on the system otherwise it's not right to delay for six months. Can anyone please tell me why such a dubious trends are seen in the various applications and approvals?

I feel they have to meet monthly quota of approval and once they are met they throw the remaining files somewhere else to see them when an MP approaches or perhaps when they feel like doing so.

aumar,

At the end of the day, the UKVI have no rules to follow and do not guarantee applicants that they will process our applications by a certain date. They specify 6 months but that is not a rule, only a guidline or target for them (and us). Sadly, we have no influence on their process, decisions, timelines or priority of processing applications.
I find it frustrating but that is the reality.

I feel for you babe_khyber, it must be agonising after such a long wait, especially seeing all these quick decisions coming. I really hope you get it soon.

My 6 months is up in two weeks time Cov. I'm not going to bother calling or writing, judging from the other threads, all I will get back is one of the 3 to 6 months letter. I've given up stressing about it. It will come when it will come.

Yupi!!!! Finally the wait is over!!!!! For those who are interested I didn't have a PR card. Don't bother as well with calling to the HO for any updates, they just lie. I phoned there yesterday to confirm if they have my new address and once I did it I asked about the application. I was told that is under the consideration when it was already sent!!! Please be careful as well if you are moving house while your documents are in the HO. I changed my address 4 days ago online and my citizenship letter was still sent to my old address because was dated 20.02.2015. Luckily today it was my check out date from the previous property and still managed to get my letter. Good luck to everyone!!!!
