Spouse Visa, Sole Trader - Bank Statement Query?

HI,

I have a quick query. If you are a sole trader self employed is it okay if the majority of your income goes into your business account rather then your personal account. The reason I ask this is because in the financial requirement for self employed it says that if you have a business bank account you must provide 12 months personal bank account statements to show you have taken an income...

Surely this would not apply for a sole trader? as because you are the only owner all the income going into the business account is yours truly?

So if you supplied 12 months business account statements and 12 months personal bank statements and majority of your income goes into your business account say 80% and you meet the minimum income threshold which is proved by all the necessary HMRC documents then the visa should not be refused on the financial basis right?

I don't know where you derive that requirement. Appendix FM-SE paragraph 7(E) or (F) certainly doesn't stipulate the requirement you are alleging.

I have copy and pasted the information:

"(e) Where the person holds or held a separate business bank account(s), bank statements
for the same 12-month period as the tax return(s).
(f) Personal bank statements for the same 12-month period as the tax return(s) showing that
the income from self-employment has been paid into an account in the name of the person
or in the name of the person and their partner jointly."

does this mean what I have argued or does this mean if you dont have a business account then personal statements for 12 months to show income??

Could anyone provide clarification on this please! Would really appreciate it
