NB**I have had refugee status during the 5 years and was granted leave to remain indefinitely in 2013. Now, I don't know how far true this is, but I was told that they are changing the eligibility from 5 years to 10 years for persons that once had refugee status. So could this be the reason they are holding on to my application as it's now coming to 3 months since i submitted my application?

Hey as far as I know, the rules only apply as of the date you submitted, i.e. if the rules change whilst you are still have an outstanding application, then the rules you applied with still apply.

Hello All

I applied on 10th December,fees deducted a week later and confirmation letter received in 9 days.NO NEWS so far, it is extremely frustrating,I am scared in a way.I had a simple caution 3.5 years ago, does it mean they purposely make the process longer just on the basis I am not good enough?

gosh,why do they torture you with this long-drawn-out process. Anyone else here waiting?

But so many friends with same situation got in s month, that's when I get nothing nearly 4 month getting mad!
Had lots of plan for Easter Holliday which done get on time.
Hope get it soon to make a plan for summer holiday

How is the Naturalisation process keeping you from planning any holiday???
You should have your passport with you if you applied via NCS, if you applied on your own then you must have known that you won't be able to travel until you get a decision.

I have a Iranian passport wich need a visa for travel to lots of country, that's why delay make lots of plans change

Should have planned a bit in advance mate, applying for a visa isn't as bad as cancelling the holiday altogether!

I feel very sad for you fredsky, i m the unlucky too who applied in last 2 months of 2014. i should had to wait for new year.
I hope we all get approvals very soon/

I think He dont know how hard to get any country's visa, applying naturalisation is lot easier than the getting visa of different countries. you chose the right way but on wrong month like me.

Correction, If he applied on his own he can request online documents return after 10 or 15 working days and he can travel.
I applied by post and after 20 days i requested my passport and biom.. back, now i can go anywhere. YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THIS.
