Morning all,

I feel like a complete idiot... I was convicted for a speeding offence sp30 for driving 37m per hour, however as I was not invited to attend in a court, was just sent a letter to pay to the court and got 3 points on my licence. It was in 2009, I pit this into 3.7, and since I have never been to the court, I said I got an fpn and paid it in full straight away.... Someone in a different thread said that since I paid to a court, it is a criminal offence, not an fpn.... I am now so worried that I might unknowingly and unwillingly put an incorrect information on my application, which can now be refused because of this?.... What do I need to do? On my licence there is no a date of conviction, but the words in that field: "conditional offer" .....

Thanks for your advise...

6 years past so its a spent conviction, you can send additional information explaining the situation.
so I hope it will be fine.

Hi Tulip,
How are you, hope your enjoying the weekend or trying to. I have not heard anything from home office too. I like you to know that I have been keeping track on people who were granted approval, they all have two different visa and one happened to be a spouse. As for us who are only on spouse visa for three years, they applications have not been looked at. No applied made in March and been approved on spouse grounds alone. So go back and read all the post you will see what I noticed. So you have something to be positive about, and not feel bad that your application and my application has not been looked at as of now I believe. You should hear anytime after the 3rd of April I believe. I have been told that it takes anywhere from a month to two months to get approved on spouse grounds. I hope we hear next week. So stay positive and you will hear soon. I am your friendly neighbour who happens to be "Indian". :D

@Tulip and @Tangie, I applied not as a spouse, but in my own right after 11 years residence (not eea) including almost 9 years ilr, on the 3/03, 10 years working with the same global company, 8 years no change in address, I.e. Everything is easy to trace and check and no sign of decision yet... I don't think it depends on whether application is as a spouse or not... I think it is pure luck!! Also, need to bear in mind, some caseworkers might take holidays over Easter.... It will slow down in April I think.... But hey! Need to stay optimistic.... It will come!! :D

My case is very similar to yours. Came here as a child, receive ILR the following year (2001)..left the country only twice. I think it may be luck. Do you think location (or nationality?) anything to do with it?

IraMil, I think that just spouse of British is managed in a different department. If you look at your acknowledgement letter it will say AN6(2)+ is for Spouse of British Citizen or AN6(1)+. Everything else. That is the reason I am saying what I am saying.

Possible... Or my speeding offence in 2009!!... Or just a different caseworker.... Or not even assigned yet - I looked through some of the posts and some found that their cases were assigned to a caseworker only after 6 months since submission... It is unnerving to wait, but that's all we can do I am afraid...
