Date of Passport Receipt: waiting

10 days after I sent my application they asked new pictures. Then I attended the interview. Nothing was told.
On 23th they sent a letter asking a new photo. AGAIN. Today I called them as they must have received it and now they said I needed to send a new form as well. It is utterly ridiculous! I do not understand why it takes 10 days for some people. The most ridiculous is they have not said anything at the interview, then they asked new pictures a few days later and when they received it they found out they want new form and new countersigner too...
Not to forget they sent back my documents with 2nd class when I asked it to be delivered secure and they just put the blame on me as I have not paid for it despite I have.s
I am sooooo fed up...

the first one was too light. The second one I didn't remove my glasses and my eyes were not clearly seen

I do not know what is good what is wrong as you can see I am struggling myself. But what I dont understand why they didnt tell me they wouldn't accept my referee at the first time. Why they let me go to the interview then new pics THEN new form...

Friends

I applied on 19th of this month but I did not hear anything from them no text to confirm that my application been received. Anyhow i phoned them on 26th of March and agent told me that my application received by HMPO by 23rd march after 4 days by check and send. Agent told me that my application is with the IAB, if i did not misunderstand that means interview attendance board. He advised me to wait for few days to get my interview letter.

my one friend in this thread said his picture been signed by the counter signature on 26th February and he is applying on 01/04/2015, it means his pictures are already more than one month old, please don't give them chances to delay your application, what I have known so far they just gather excuses to delay the application. It will be waist of time and nothing else. Its my advice please change the dates on your form and picture otherwise you would definitely be on hold for more than 2 months. make sure your picture and form should not be signed older than 5 days when you apply.

And please make sure your Form's & picture's dates are same, otherwise check and send post office member will refuse to send your application.

Dear members I know this is the right forum but may be someone might have help.
I have got an interview for overseas british passport for my baby in Africa. Please can anyone help me with kind of questions they do ask during the interview?
Many thanks
Hi, they ask the basics about where you live, who you live with etc. They also asked me about my house and my parents, how I travelled to the interview and how long it took.

They are just general questions specific to yourself which you should know the answers to. The interviewer was friendly and informal and there is really nothing to be nervous about.

Congratulations but don't say this. My husband's naturalisation application is very straightforward with no driving points, 1 workplace for over 5 years now and applied on 2 March and still no news from them.
Anyway there are people who have been waiting for 6 months or a year and their application are straightforward too
So it's not up to us! You were lucky, good for you! Enjoy it!

Passport for: Adult (Naturalised Citizen)
Application Type: New
Method of application: Check & Send
Date of application: March 25, 2015
Date application received by IPS: March 27, 2015 (I phoned them today April 1st to check if they received it).

Date of receipt of interview letter: April 1, 2015 (dated March 31, 2015)
Date of Passport Appointment: April 2, 2015
Date of Passport Receipt:

In retrospect, I found the Check and Send service so pointless. I paid almost £20 (as I also renewed my daughter's passport) and nothing on the form needed correcting. I used the service it as I thought I wouldn't have to send my documents off - I assumed it would have been the same as NCS.

You live an you learn. I wouldn't use them again.

I used it 4 years ago at the first time for my older boy and it was incorrect. The passport office sent it back for correction. The post office lady asked those information which were not needed and did not ask which were. So I have never will and not used3d since then. I prefer send it by check and send

Hi Jawab,

no offence but this is not a rocket science to fill passport forms, just need personal details, parents details , naturalisation details, current passport, and counter Signs, and two pic, one attested; and naturalisation letter, and current passport, along with fee.

thats it.

Post office just make money for noting 20 pounds for just looking all fields filled. that it. ridiculous ..

but ............................ no worry bro ...

:D :D :D :D :D just think you are British now.

It was not that easy. When my children got their passports I was not British. They were not naturalised, not registered to be British. They earned it by me. So needed to send a lot of payslips, wrs paper, temporary residency card then permanent one, etc.
So I needed help to make sure what you really need to send as it was not in the booklet!

Why do [some] people on here assume that other peoples cases are just the same as theirs? That it will just as 'easy' or 'quick' for someone else because it was for them. It's so damn arrogant. Yuck.

..I missed the delivery so rescheduled for 07-04-2015...btw DX does deliver on Saturday but we are away..they require each named person to be present or give a signed authorization with a photo id to the receiver....luckily due to Easter holidays, kids would be home..otherwise I'm not sure how I would have had them to miss school....they don't have a photo id other than the passport and they can't sign an authorization form :) ...also, DX can deliver at a specific time for an extra charge...else the delivery is between 9-5

They will just put it into your letter box without signing anything. I have never signed for my children's passports
