Please help, I have applied and gained my ILR on 30 march 2015 on the basis of Long residence. My family members (wife and 2 children) are still on T1 entrepreneur visa. My wife and elder child have visa till 19th of September 2015. 10 days short before they complete their 10 yeas on 29th of September 2015. Please guide if they can apply under 10 year rule within last 28 days and their application will not be refused?

Also guide for my another child who was born in the UK in may 2011- what visa shall we apply for her as she will not be completing her 10 years and she will be finishing her Entrepreneur dependant visa on 19th of Sept 2015.

Please help

So is it true that you have to wait at least a year before you can apply to become a citizen even after 10 years long residence? Is this what they mean by naturalisation?

Yes they changed details for same day service on their website too, which says you can apply for same day for ilr (all i think). Just need to pay £400 at the time of booking.
if you still have to send an application, fill new form etc... then yes you should be able to use the service. But if application is already with HO then you can not change ?[/quote]

Would we be able to pay the difference and upgrade to premium service then if we have already posted the doc? Does anyone know? :?

Can someone please tell me
I did not submit my marriage certificate with my FLR (M) last week as i had lost it, but now I have obtained new from the authorities in Pakistan. I relied (mentioned)on the fact that all my previous 5 application for FLR were as a spouse dependant of my husband. Also I send covering letter asking them to hold my application while my husband's case is decided.
Question
1. Should I inform home office that my husband has got ILR
2. Should I send my marriage certificate
3. My husband used my daughter' full birth to support his set (LR) and it is returned with documents. Should I send that also

Yes you can apply 28 days before completing 10 years, 28 days is buffer period so you do not need to worry about.
About your child born in UK, you can apply for them to register as british citizen using Form MN1, just search for MN1 form and guidance, all details are available there, on how to apply, what evidence require etc. read those notes and application first.
hope it helps

Yes you should send all these documents to them using Liverpool Address. explain everything in a cover letter, write your, full name, nationality, d.o.b , home office reference if you have one, etc.

Thanks
Hi VFF, my congrats!
But can I ask, I thought ILR means without any date limit? So when your BRP is just for like 10 years, what happens after that? Do you just have to renew it?
But they call it indefinite, so why would they put a time frame on it? (just for people who'd later migrate to other countries?)
Thanks.

Does anyone know the no to contact HO, for set LR applications please? Thank you
I just got this on the latest guidance: 0800 38 98 28 9
Have seen some people have contacted HO, so thought to double check with them before waste time trying to get through to them!
I need to ask if I can switch from post application to premium now. It'd mostly be a no I know, but I better check anyway :(

Hello all,
For any Set (LR) one has to choose postal service as it doesn't come under premium service.
Here is the home office link published on 6th April

https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... ttle-in-uk

Hope this clear the doubts.

What a good news from HO for a long time - one day service for ILR 10years!!

I'm applying in August. Never mind the extra few hundred pounds - that is nothing compared to the stress caused by waiting for months and months.

The revised SET LR form effective from this week clearly states that you can apply through premium service. Read the page 2 of the SET LR form effective from april 2015

"There is a fee of £1500 for this application.
Applications can be made in person at a Premium Service Centre for a same day consideration of your application. There is an additional fee for this service and all fees will be taken when you book an appointment. For more details and to book an appointment please visit www.gov.uk/ukvi-premium-service-centres"

This is really a good news for the prospective applicants. I applied in September last year and had to wait for 4 months to get the approval letter.

In addition, I just went to double check in the premium service site. I logged on to the appointment booking service and checked - SET (LR) option is threre now for premium appointment booking. That confirms that you can apply for ILR (10yrs) by using the one day service. Hooray!!!

I think there is a difference between, Super Premium Service & Same day premium service.
Super Premium Service [£7000 fee] not available for Set (LR) but Same day premium service [£400 fee] is available for Set (LR).

Hey, I believe she has to apply either FLR (M) or FLR (FP) if she doesn't meet the requirements of FLR (M)
Requirements for FLR (M) = £18,600 annual income [You & Wife together] and English test for her.

If she goes for FLR (FP) route, she will have to wait for 10 years before she can apply for her ILR, whereas if she goes for FLR(M) route she can apply for ILR after 5years. However both count towards her lawful stay for her 10 years long residence application.

I was wondering if anyone has heard about a same day service starting from April 2015 to apply for the ILR under the 10 year category. My work has agreed to sponsor my visa under the current category and put me in touch with an immigration advisory agency. They have let me know that it's hot off the press the the UKBA will be starting same day applications again from April 2015 for this category. This makes my life a lot easier since I was worried I'd have to give my passport up for a few months and I have to travel for work.

But, I can't find any reference to such an announcement or anything on the UKBA website. Any ideas on this one? I can't have been told wrong information since the immigration service is a very reputable large firm who have been operating with my company (also a large multinational - hence the capability for a visa sponsor)

Thanks
This is the post from last month that states SET (LR) is available for same day from April 15,

If you still have valid visa then you have the option to withdraw application to visit your mother, then when you come back apply again... It is just an option but i do not know your circumstances,..

I think you better contact them and send compassionate/compelling reasons as to why you would need to fly back home soon.
Ask if any chance they can speed it up for this reason.
