I just want to ask one question , about which i am sure but just wants to know other answers. Like in application form there is rule of physical presence of 3 years from the date of application like in my case as I applied on spouse basis got ILR in 2014 November after 2 years , then i applied last month on 3rd march for naturalization the reason was that i spent more than 90 days outside UK in last 12 months so when i was applying in march so the days were reduced to 54. so that days problem was fine. my question is about physical presence from date of application so if i count from my date of application so does it mean that i should be present in UK on 3rd March 2012 ? am I right ? which i was definitly present in Uk .

Yes you're right, the current trend shows it could take 3/4 more days to be taken out....

Tulip,
You had a spouse visa right, and you got ILR and was out of the UK for three months, Well you needed to make up that three months to complete three years before you could apply for ILR. Now say you applied for naturalization on the 3rd March' 2015, then on the same date the 3rd March' 2014 you had to have been present in the UK. Does that make sense, if not join my group on facebook. Indefinite leave to remain. It is a closed group asked to join and will help you out there. Cheers, Tangie

Yes, based on this, you meet the requirement of being physically present in the UK, 3 years before your application date. Note however, it's the date the HO receive your application that you need to count back from. Meeting the absence requirement is independent to this.

Yes you had to physically be in the UK three years before on the date of your application. I applied through NCS and she made sure of this by checking the form (can't remember which page number) which has your list of absenses in the past five years :D
