I called the HO and they said to wait till six months.
I applied in the 1st week of December.
Should I get in touch with my mp or wait till the 6 months is over

I am having pain in my fingers now, i applied 23rd Dec and crossing my fingers since JAN 2015

Now i am crossing my hands and legs.

trust me, I know the feeling... I applied on 3rd of December I was ok with waiting until they asked me for my original passport, but since 10th of March I'm having pain like you said in my fingers lol

One more day gone

First of all thanks for everyone who has posted in this forume and give hope to those to be patient, I was a silent reader in this forume since I was applied and fortunately I got my approvel on Sataurday

and I hope the best of luck to everyone who are waiting. Here is my time line.

Eligibility criteria: 5 years ILR
Language: Functional English
Methode of application: NCS
Date of application 04/12/2014
Payment methode: Credit card declined for some reason later send out Personel cheque
Date of acknowledgement: 17/12/2014
Date of debite or clearence fee: 11/01/2015
Date of approvel: 20/04/2015
Date of cermoney: 15/04/2015 BOOKED TODAY

Once again thanks for all of you guys and best of luck all.

I just wanted to ask your case workers name, I wondering if we had the same person dealing with our applications. Because HO received my application on the same day like yours

Hi All
I applied for naturalisation on 18th December and I got an invitation letter today from my council to attend the ceremony . In all it took exactly 4 months .

Thanks a lot, 123sandra, I didn apply through any case worker I just send it by National checking service, hopefully you will get it plz be patient.

I applied last week of November and still no news,
HO received my application 01/12/14
I called them didn't give me the update but after log conversation they told me will send me a decision up to 01/06/15
I hope will get some news till 6 month they told

I got a letter from the home office asking for documents of how i was maintaining myseLf as I have not met the good character requirements as I had over stayed record ...the reason for the overstay was when my application for spouse visa was made and my application was sent back saying they couldn't access funds from my account which made my application invalid by the time I made a valid application and the time it took for them to refuse me I was already an overstayer. I was asked to go back to my home country to gain entry clearance which I did.... my wife was the one taking up all the maintenance and up keep as I had to leave my job immediately at the time......can anyone please advice....thanks

Hi Chrisini, I'm sorry to hear that. From what I know the good character requirement was changed in December to include a list of undesirable things such as overstaying, evading immigration control, illegal entry, working illegaly etc. If a person committed any of these within the past 10 years prior to their BC application it's automatically refused. In your case I suspect they haven't got enough evidence to decide so may want to refuse you for working illegaly in case you provide wage slips, bank statements in your name with wages coming in etc. I would find a solicitor on to help you out or as you say your wife maintained you it would be bills in her name, bank statements showing payments for your upkeep etc. Hope this helps.

I got a letter from HO about my Naturalisation application made 4th Dec.
The letter stated where an applicant has not been compliant with the UK immigration laws in the 10 year period prior to the date of application the application will normally be refused.

They indicated i was here without a valid leave in the UK between 3 september 2010 when my leave to remain expired and i left the UK 6th August 2011 to my home country to regain entry clearance. the reason for this to happen was my application for my spouse visa 15 August 2010 this was rejected due to funds not taken from my account and got a letter on 26th November 2010 deemed invalid and was asked to reapply.

I reapplied on the 18th of Dec 2010 but got another letter on 11th Jan saying i used the wrong form. i immediately made another application using the right form in Jan received acknowledgement letter 4th of April and was sent a letter for biometrics on 6th April. On the 13th April i received a decision that my application has been refused due to the fact that i made a valid application after my leave to remain expired on the 3rd of september 2010. My wife was the one taking up all the maintenance and up keep as I had to leave my job immediately at the time.

I seeked legal advice and was finally advised to go to my home country to re apply which i did on the 6th of August 2011. So the letter is asking in order that we may give further consideration to your application please state how you were maintaining yourself in the country during this period and provide appropriate evidenceie wage slips, benefit letters, evidence of other income. please provide this information by the 18th May. Failure to send required informationby the given date will result in the application being refused. anyone please advice....thanks

4 months stressful waiting time.
Try to think positive
" no news is a good news"
Difficult but what can we do???
