Hi

Can someone advise if travel to UK can be delayed for up to 1 year after getting a spouse visa from abroad? Thanks

Yes, travel can be delayed up to 1 year.

However do note that you must complete 5 years probationary period before you can apply for ILR which means you will need to apply for two extensions instead of one in order to complete that period, pay the visa fees at the time as well as the health surcharge each time. It will be expensive.
