HI All

The current timeline for decision after bio metrics are provided seems to be 7 to 9 weeks, based on three cases in this post.

All the best for every one waiting for a decision.

I wonder how long do you have to wait to get the Biometrics letter? I got my application submited on the 5th March, Acknowledgment letter recieved on the 12th March and since then i heard nothing from them!!! does the Easter holiday affect the processing time that much? is over one month now that my application have been sent and still waiting. I hope that is not a sign of 12 months waiting time!!!! hoping to get it by late June so FC.
I was wondering also if everyone has to do the Biometrics even though i have done them once before i was granted the visa to enter the UK, does that counts or not?
Thanks in advance

John McOuba wrote:Hello Everybody,

hope you are all doing well despite the waiting times being too long.
well; i have recently submitted my application for the IRL SET (M); submitted 5th March 2015 using standard postal option (regretted later as I should have gone with the fastest option); i know it is a bit too early to post but based on the so many posts i read on here the waiting time is between 4 to 6 months, and 3 months the earliest with over 6 months the latest. did anybody here heard of anyone who got their application quickly processed (less than 3 months with the standard postal)? I heard that the 2 years path can be processed quicker than the 5 years and 10 years just because the 2 years have less documentations to be checked, is that true?
once again; i hope you are all fine and hope your applications will be completed positively soon....
Thanmirth

IRL SET (M) via standard postal
Application submitted: 5th March
I got nothing and heard nothing... so just got on the "long waiting" train heading to tranquility ;-)

Congrats Saquib!! That was very quick. Enjoy your life now.

To those who are worried about not receiving their biometrics letter. I received mine exactly a month after I applied. So I believe there are some delays now in sending out the biometrics letter.

Hoping for some more approvals soon.

Hi All please advice in my condition
Arrived 5th of May 2005
Extended visa 3 times till Feb 2013
Applied residence card EEA family member at November 2012
Was rejected so went for appeal nov 2013
Appeal heard on August 2014 and dismissed
Didn't appeal on upper tribunal; applied on ILR long term residence at October 2014
Refused on Feb 2015 with appeal right
Appeal will be hard October 2015.
What do you think about my appeal on ILR?
Thanks

Congratulations to the guys that got their ILR approved and good luck to everyone else waiting (myself included).
I am new on this forum, I submitted my ILR app. on 5th of February, biometric on the 27th of Feb. I later realised that I submitted my application with the wrong English language test which was Functional skills level 3 instead of ESOL Entry 3.
My concern is, can HO refuse my application based on this? I have sent them a letter, acknowledging my mistake and asked if they could kindly send me a copy of my passport so that I can take another test as I've tried to book another test but the newly approved test centres wouldn't accept copies of my passport, but HO didn't say anything regarding my request but only sent an email below.

"We are emailing you to confirm your recent Home Office application is still under consideration and we expect to make a decision within 6 months of the date of your application, which is our service standard. If we are unable to process your application within 6 months, we will let you know as soon as possible"

What got me more worried is, I'm unemployed at the moment but a full time student and got a university offer for september 2015 academic year. If I'm being refused, then I won't be able to get a job or go to Uni, and would be a struggle to fund another application.
Your opinion on my case will be highly appreciated.
Thank you

I hope so, it depends on the category, Sett M seems to be taking longer than other categories

Set O Tier 2 Migrant

Applied: 23/03
Fee debit: 24/03
Acknowledgment letter: Dated on 24/03
Biometrics letter: Dated on 15/04; Received on 17/04
Biometrics enrolment: 22/04
Documents returned:20/04
Decision Letter: awaiting
New BRP: awaiting

For some reason, they've sent me my docs back even before enrolling my biometrics. Accdg to the letter, they're trialling a new system but it may still take 6 months for a decision.. Anybody on the same boat?

InshaALLAH we all hear some good news soon. There was someone else on here as well who received all the documents back. They are doing this for only tier 2 applicants. Nothing to worry about, rest of the process is all the same.

Please keep us updated here if you call them or receive anything from them. Thanks.

Was it SET M? have you not received an acknowledgement letter or biometrics letter in the mail?
