Citizenship helpline - Impossible!

Post by Monifé » Tue May 19, 2015 11:12 am

Hi all,

Is there some sort of secret trick in getting your call answered by someone in the Citizenship section?

I phoned the number 55, yes 55, times and about 40 of those times it just gave a busy tone and the other 15 times it rang for a minute or so and then just cut off.

As a public servant myself, I can safely say the Department of Justice is the most backwards, inefficient and unhelpful department in the public service!

Do you have their email address? I couldn't see it on the INIS website.

Thanks.

Same experience here: email is the way to go.

If you really insist in calling again and again, you will eventually get to talk to someone. But they will most likely want to expedite the call in a few seconds and therefore not be very useful.

They usually answer emails within a few days.

If this were true then your bogus asylum seeking partner would have been deported long ago.
