One more question:

Does someone has EU residence permit from an EU member state ( I have one for 5 years) and Do we lose it if we get EEA FP in the UK?

Because I heard that we cannot have 2 FP in European union

Hello again,

do you have an e-mail to contact home office?

I applied on the 17th of april, biometrics on 1st of may, but I still haven't received my COA.
I'm currently on a Tier-4 student visa, but I think I should still get a COA.

Whats current waiting times at the moment?
As I can see from posts it is between 3-4 months, isnt it?
77 working days is the average according to HO. Mine was processed at 79 days from when COA was issued.
I am very curious what are they doing 77 working days long. It is not more than 2 weeks job. I have got my EU residence permit in 10 days in a member state
Good question! It takes about a week in DK and you don't need to give them your passport. My guess is they're slooooooowwwwly working through a backlog since they have a higher volume of applications here? Or maybe they just have 1 case officer. If you look at one of my previous posts, I posted the link to my FOI request about the number of apps and processing time.

Thanks!, I called.. waited for several minutes.. and got to talk to a nice lady, very kind that looked at my case, checked that everything was ok so far and that the COA should have been issued already, she apologized for not having received it and requested to have the COA sent again to me so that I can receive it as soon as possible, what a nice talk...

quite different than the interviews I think :)

I just called them as well and i think i talked with the same lady because she was really kind and helpful. Unfortunately, my application is still under progress no decision has been made yet also there is no note inside the case it is just staying there waiting...and she said that hopefully i will receive it before 6months time...so the theory i came up with on the last page is still valid with inna.p is application but appearently not valid with my case.. no luck for me today as well..so anyone who wants to call HO today appearently the lady answers the phone is quiete nice and helpful.

What option did you select when you called the number ?
And also what did you ask the operator that picked up ?

Hi nanouk,

Your case is quite similar to my wife's. She has a student visa and she attended the Biometrics Enrolment on May 8th. She is still waiting for the COA. Today I called to the HO and as you my wife is still in process.

Please, Let's be in touch to share any update.

Our Timeline:
Both Applied as a Qualified Person and Family Member Respectively - Married - Italian / Venezuelan (Student Visa)
Application posted: 10/04
Payment via Postal Order
Letter of acknowledgement from HO: 20/4 (Dated 15/4)
Biometrics Enrolment Letter: 08/05 (Dated 30/05) - Same day attended
Waiting for COA

Guys follow up your applications, As I said they have lost my biometrics letter and I was sitting and waiting as stupid. I have talked with a guy called Nev. He was very helpful, he even called me later and asked if i got my COA.
But once you got COA, there is no need to call at least 4 months in my opinion, they do not give any info about process.
Their customer services improved.

I do not think FOI requests are useful. It doesnt change anything. They just keep repeating their irrelevant answers.

Do you think we gonna lose out EU residences if we get EEA FP in UK?

I have read that absence more than 6 months in 1 year is give reason them to cancel your EU family permit in member state.
This card was very convinient for me, I had no visa restriction in all EU, now if I lose it I will need to apply schengen visa all the time when I travel in EU

Hi,

Could anyone please let me know if it is mandatory to include a Return Envelope? I have submitted my RC application without a Return Envelope.

Here's my timeline:

Application sent: February 20th 2015
COA received: March 10th 2015
Still waiting for the Residence Card. It has been more than 3 months now!

Good luck to all.

I'm not sure why you expect change from a FOI request. It's just releasing information to the public and my results were in line with the averages that they gave.

You can't be resident in 2 different places at the same time so I would assume they would cancel it if you're no longer resident in the other EU state.

RC, it is not mandatory, most people include it for two reasons as far as I know:

1. In case to make sure, if they request their passports while the application is in progress to ensure a quick return.
2. To ensure a quick return of ALL the documents once the decision is made.

I sent it in and asked for our passports, they sent them back in a regular envelope, which means they will probably use the one I sent in hopefully when they send in my RC.

so again, not mandatory, just recommended!
