Dear Venkata,

Heartiest congratulations on your successful ILR application.
Thanks a lot for sharing your experience and list of documents.

Please could you help with below queries.

I am currently on Tier 2 (General) visa and my wife is my dependant.
Our visa is valid from 01sep2010. So we are planning to apply between 04 and 13aug2015 by Premium service.

On the online appointment page, what answer should we select for below question?
"Which category of leave are you applying for?"

Also when do you think the appointment slots will open for above dates? When can we book our appointment?

Lastly please could you send us the format for the 3 letters. I.e. Employer letter for absence, applicant letter for absences and Cover letter mentioning all the docs.

Thank you very much in advance.

Hi, sorry to trouble you---obviously you paid for the premium service, right?

Did you use anyone to help you prepare?-- you mention "caseworker application submission". If so, was it worth it--do you think you would have known to do everything you ended up doing as far as the paperwork was concerned?

Many thanks for any guidance. My father is not in good health and I contemplate premium service to make sure I can travel (avoiding a possible emergency withdrawal of application and loss of application fees).

5 yrs here as of Feb 2010 on ITC visa as well.

I have some gaps Example: 9th Jul 2011 left from UK and entered UK 02 Aug 2011( Passport Stamping date). Do i need to calculate these 2 days as present in UK.

Could you please send me your contact number to my mail id please xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi Venkata,

Thanks a lot for your reply.

On the online appointment page, what answer should we select for below question?
"Which category of leave are you applying for?"
4 choices given are:
Tier 1 (General)
Tier 2
Other Main Applicant
Dependant

Which one should I select?

P.S. I am currently on Tier 2 (General) visa and my wife is my dependant.

Thanks

Hi Venkat--

So sorry to bother you again-- but a follow-up question regarding Documents if I may? May I ask why did you send five years of bank statements, payslips, tax statements, and a council bill for address proof? I am reading in the SET(O) guidance and I can only find the request for a bank statement and payslip dated from within the last month prior to application date. I can only find references to proof of address under dependent references and other Tiers. I am here five years on a Tier 2 Migrant - Intra-Company Transfer applicant with no dependents. Have I missed a guidance point? There are several subparagraphs in Section 12 - Documents that I don't believe apply to me, but obviously I could be wrong.

Appreciate your very kind assistance.

Hi,

I only provided 5 years P60,
and last one year Payslips and bank statements.
Tax statements or P60 for 5 years were necessary to prove your Tax status . Otherwise payslips/bank statements covering atleast 3 months to 1 year is enough..

All the best..

Hi Venkatasuresh,

Congratulations on your successful ILR.

Quick query on my ILR eligibility. Please reply if you have time.

I am new to this forum.

I am planning for my ILR soon. Here are the details regarding my absences

1.18/06/2011 to 03/07/2011 (15 Days)
2. 02/03/2012 to 29/03/2012 (27 days)
3. 01/11/2013 to 25/11/2013 (24 Days)
4. 01/03/2014 to 25/03/2014 (24 Days)
5.16/05/2012 to 28/01/2013 (256 Days)

During this 8 months my employer transfered my payroll to India. But for these 5 years I am in the same Tier2 General visa.
I came to UK on 18th June 2010. My visa was issued on 8th June 2010 in India.

Can some one suggest me that

1.Am I eligible for ILR?
2. If so when exactly that I can go for ILR? Please suggest me the date.

Thanks in Advance
Naga

Dear Venkat,

01 SEP 2010 - this is the issue date on my Residence permit for my initial Tier 2 (General) application.
I complete 5 years on this Visa on 31 AUG 2015. Is this correct?
If yes, can we apply for ILR on 04 AUG 2015?

Thanks a lot in advance for your reply.
