Yes, note however that you need to show evidence that you can support yourself & any dependents without recourse to public funds. See page 67 of the SET(O) form.

This quite confusing, as far as I know you dont need to maintain any specific balance ? what is the minimum threshold and for how long you need to kept ?

Correct, no explicit balance is required (as was the case for previous T1 extensions) & there is no requirement to maintain a given balance for any number of months.

But you are expected to produce bank statements covering at least the last 3 months prior to your application, which would show that you have sufficient funds to support yourself & any dependants.

Thats not correct. For tier 1 extensions we were supposed to show the minimum funds requirement of £900 for the last 90 days.

Hi Mate

Thanks for reply, God bless all of us.

I have no idea what is the definition of sufficient balance in their dictionary.

How can someone guess, about this sufficient balance ?

Re-reading my post, I see how I could have worded that sentence better :). What I meant was that for previous t1 extensions you had to maintain a explicit balance over a given number of months. But that explicit balance or number of days doesn't apply for ILR. But you do need to show funds over the last 3 months to support yourself.

The safest logical guess would be to go with what you had to show for T1, if you are able to.

Thanks a million for your quick response, and this is what I will do.

There have been many discussions around maintenance of funds for ILR and many memebers have posted success stories and said that maintenance of funds are not required.
I even had a negative balance in my account in last 3 months and if it is not explicitly mentioned in the SET(0) form, why should I submit a statement which shows overdraft balance ? :-)

From what you say it appears that it's not strictly checked or even requested by the HO caseworkers. But FYI it is stated as required in the SET(O) form on page 67.

Apologies for posting so late, I had the same confusion but shown the maintenance of £945 for three months just to be on the safer side.
